There is a setting in MIUI to show (on/off) notification icons. It’s off by default. Check that first.

Redmi Note 7 is listed as Android 9, is this final? Shouldn’t it be Android 10 or they won’t update RN7?

I’m still waiting for them to fix the notifications issues with Twitter on Redmi 7. It’s crazy that I get a sound and vibrate notification for direct messages, but not regular tweets (likes and retweets). I don’t know why that happens and I’ve tried a lot of things. And it’s also the only app where this happens since my Gmail, protonmail, PayPal, and others work fine.
Whilst Jailbroken on iOS the Barclays app is the same now.
Annoying as apps that are depended upon are dictating what I can and can’t do to my devices now… Can’t use it on my Jailbroken iPad and if I where to install a custom ROM (or official Chinese) on my Mi 9T Pro I’d loose access.
Stock on my phone it is for now.

Does anybody know if they will fix Ambient display problems in the next update? I mean when it shows notifs from only a small number of apps, and not every app? I couldn’t care less about some stupid effects or animation.
Isnt there a new app drawer in miui 11? Or was it only rumored and not confirmed 🙁
I want that phone too. But it’s out of my budget so I’ll probably buy mi9t instead. Just a slower processor, no big deal.
I would even consider redmi note 8 pro if the camera is not much worse than mi9t
Keeping in mind these are Chinese versions which doesn’t have Google Applications and have quite a few features that are in the global ROMs removed.
Also if you have a banking app like Barclays in the UK or elsewhere, Magisk doesn’t work to hide root from whatever detection they use, they don’t rely on SafteyNet, they have their own “protections”.
Google Pay on the other hand and apps that use SafteyNet, Magisk does the trick.
One thing is the disappearing icon on the status bar. For example, i get a WhatsApp message, the WhatsApp icon appears for like 2 seconds and then disappears from the status bar. This happens with any kind of notification.
Another thing I find annoying is this; I get a message while my phone is locked, I see the notification, I unlock the phone without reading the message, I lock the phone, I check again without unlocking, the notification is gone again from the lock screen. That also means that any unread notification I have that might appear on the status bar if I pull down, does not appear om the lock screen if I lock. Maybe it’s just me, but it should be on the lick screen while I haven’t dismissed it from the status bar.
TL;DR Notifications just tend to hide for some reason. I think that’s mostly an issue for phones with a nodge.

Works like a charm on Mi9. No issues so far, I’ve lost video twice in Vanced Youtube when switching between apps, otherwise all works well! And the fluent zoom in/out utilizing all 3 lenses is awesome!

It’s only the fact they spat out their dummy and won’t partner with Google Pay on Android AFTER I was already a customer from pre-smartphone days.

Gmail notifications haven’t been working on my RN5 or my brother’s RN6, so this is not an isolated bug.
Man, I really hope they have fixed the notifications on the RN7, otherwise I’ll be utterly disappointed.
First impressions are that it seems to work well on Mix 2S, I flashed it over older MIUI10 build and all seems well

If you still determine on buying OP 7 pro, don’t. Compromise a bit and buy oneplus 7t instead. You get everything from 7 pro except its full screen and curved edges for $150 less

Android Auto doesn’t work if dual apps are enabled. Disable those to get it working.
Will I get updates on the fly or do I have to flash a new ROM everytime to get me new version?
an update on the MIUI it doesn’t mean it gotta be updated on the Android at the same time, for example we can recieve MIUI 11 stable release on november and still recieve Android 10 by the next year
