I have a strange question. I have the XMRM-M3 remote, which is an IR/BT remote. When you open a special menu on a Smart Box, you can select the IR transmission mode by choosing a brand like Samsung, TCL, NEC, or Epson.
But what if I have a soundbar with a different IR code? I can’t program it using the “LEARN” function because the remote has no IR receiver. So my question is: can I program it using a HEX code with an external app?
From what I understand, Xiaomi programs the remote over Bluetooth when you select a brand. I also found RX and TX pins—could they be used for this? However, I would prefer to use Bluetooth, like the original setup.
Is this possible? Are there any third-party apps that can do this? Noone even tried to answer it on r/androidtv
