Best region for updates is china because they get updates first and most features. What you consider bloatware there are people who use those apps so it depends upon individual.

Get apps cannot removed so need to disable it. Some people are of opinion get apps can be removed via pc but I have not tried it so disable it. Xiaomi 14 Indian version has google chrome so no mi browser.

i have global version and my phone(14T Pro) has both browsers Mi and Chrome

apkmirror, fdroid, but that doesn’t help with deleting an app only installing one

EU region definitely includes those apps you don’t want. (Maybe all of them do? China wouldn’t have the Google apps I guess 🙂.)

The minimal shell/ADB thing is not that complicated if you want to research and give it a go. And a bit of common sense is all that is really required to avoid bricking or needing to factory reset i.e. not removing anything you are unsure about.

If you don’t want to go down that route, I’ve heard of people using an open source app called Canta.

[Edit: You need to install Shizuku from the play store first which allows other apps (like Canta) to perform adb commands, without having to root your phone.]

I cannot say that I have checked the code myself lol, but it is public so I doubt there is anything dodgy hidden in it. Also, you can uninstall both apps once you have debloated. It comes with a caveat though:-

no bricking [is possible] – though if you remove essential app and get stuck in a bootloop after reboot – you will still need to do factory reset!

(so maybe back anything important up just in case 🙂)

If you get rid of GetApps, your system apps will no longer be updated, like Camera, background and others. Bad idea.
