I am going to an orchid show today. I would like to take some great pics with my 15U, and to challenge myself, I do not want to use auto mode.
I have set up a pro mode preset using vibrant mode, spot metering, sharpness -10, 3x telephoto for macro, and EV -.3
Does that sound like settings that would work well? Happy to hear any suggestions for tweaks!
Ev can be -0.3-0.7 depending on lighting. Sometimes even 0 is better.
Vibrant will be good. Also in some video I saw that it’s better to use normal 3x than the macro mode for very close shots. So not sure as I have yet not tried that.
Rest things like sharpness, contrast etc you need to adjust depending on the scene.
