Been an iPhone user for 7 years, but today I’m converted.

I will take more pictures if requested.
This beauty needs to be showed off more!
EDIT: Decided to add more pics as requested.
All pictures have no filter whatsoever as I wanted to highlight the display. Only editing I done was just cropping and straitening.

Shit son, please do! That’s some beautiful pic you caught.
Yep, it took me a few tries trying to line up the keys with the picture lol
Xiaomi should use this for ads, excellent shot, bro!
Beautiful picture of a beautiful phone.
What laptop is that?
Thanks. It’s the Surface Book.
Haha yep, I just saw it on the Xiaomi Reddit section.
I’m very tempted now as the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air got a dGPU and will only cost around £650. I bought the Surface Book for £1200 entry level which doesn’t have a dGPU :(… will save me alot once I sell off my Surface Book before they announce the Surface Book 2 in Spring.
Sweet picture
Chances are, you’ll be back soon. 😎
Nice Pic though!
So you bought a good looking phone, but not a good one.
They should just switch the computer out with a xiaomi laptop though.
You have great tastes in phones AND laptops!
Also, I think a lot of people in r/Android would enjoy seeing your photo, but it’d probably get deleted there. Great shot!
Why so many downvotes? Yes, Mix is refreshing, beautiful phone, but is a beta phone. Camera is ok, not better than a iPhone 6, in low light struggles a lot, and the design, is beautiful, but if you drop say goodbye to that 1080p screen.
Because it is a good phone. Beautiful design, beast of a battery, gorgeous screen, top notch soc and available with 256gb of storage. How is that not a good phone?
Sure, the camera is not on par with other flagship devices, but that’s its only downside. And not everyone cares about the camera.
Heh thanks.
I shall post it there anyways as I’m sure people who are into tech will enjoy it. If it gets deleted then it’s ok.
After watching a few online reviews I agree you with.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air still got a few issues they need to iron out before I splash my money. That heating issue is a real problem to be honest, Xiaomi really needs to fix that in their Air 2.
I have a MiPad 2 and it absolutely sucks. Xiaomi doesn’t even know how to send out Windows devices properly.
Any idea when it’ll be released?
just don’t drop it;-)
mimix is really good built phone, look at some drop tests.
It is not even perfect but that is absolutely stunning!
Battery doesn’t charge when off, BIOS sucks, audio drivers have this auto gain control that sucks, the screen has horrible bleeding, the top of the screen sometimes flashes, no SD slot, USB 2 only, even for OTG, doesn’t support anything fancier than charge/sync thru USB C, to say the least.
WTF? Why did I get downvoted to hell for this?
Greetings from someone who has a Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro and a Galaxy S7, really wanting to leave the Apple Ecosystem
…but just bought an iPhone 7 again last weekend since I can’t get used to Android.
I genuinely think anyone that has “been using an iPhone for 7 years” (Post title) will find it tough to permanently migrate.
/u/ElysiumY2K – please kindly let me know in 3 Months if you managed to stick to Android or went back.
This friday, if you believe the rumours… http://www.androidheadlines.com/2016/12/leak-xiaomi-could-introduce-a-4g-lte-notebook-on-dec-23rd.html
Lol I’m not sure either.
I do genuinely like Apple products as I’ve been with them for a long time. When Xiaomi announced the the Mi Mix in November I was literally blown away on it’s design and specs. I felt like a kid again wanting that “new” gadget of the year. I haven’t really felt that way with Apple since the iPhone 5 and that’s probably the main reason why I finally gave in and converted to Android.
I will come back here in a few months and tell my honest opinions whether or not I switched back to iOS or stayed with Android.
I’m still in that “honeymoon” phase with the Mi Mix so time will tell if I can stick with it for a whole year or not!
Wow you have the 4GB and 6GB RAM model? Any reason why? lol
I totally agree. Everything is literally top of the line down to the specs an design, but the camera is kind of a let down. It doesn’t even have OIS which is fundamental on most smart phones.
Didn’t downvote but my guess, your comment “sounds hostile” (dont know how else to call it). Your explanation is very logical and I completely argee with you. It just implied that Xiaomi wasn’t good enough and since you are in a xiaomi sub ;).
Hey buddy, check this out!

I immediately remembered that you posted one of those pictures. Did they ask your permission to use your picture on their commercial website?
Yep I let them use my picture for their website.
Lol thanks for letting me know, I’m glad fellow redditors looks out for one another!
Good to hear that.
No prob mate.
How is the Surface Book? How long have been using it?
It’s good thanks. Really robust and fast laptop (I have the entry model one).
There are the odd bugs from Windows 10 but those issues are not big enough to stop me from using the laptop normally.
I’ve been using it since July 2016.
I heard from the rumour mills that a SB2 and SP5 will be announced this year so if you want a cheap SB1 maybe look out for the news.
Sadly I’ve reverted back to an iPhone 7 🙁
I had the Mi Mix for about 2 months before I sold it on eBay. It is actually VERY hard to switch from iOS to Android! I didn’t realise it but alot of stuff I used on iOS didn’t work or work as well on the Android for me (just my own personal preference). If i’d forced myself to get use to MIUI I might have kept the phone. But for convince sake and my lifestyle right now I didn’t really have the time to.
My Pros and Cons about the Mi Mix:
Pros:
– Gorgeous display for viewing anything on a smart phone (I watch alot of movies while commuting to work and it was a pleasure to view them on)
– Browsing websites and viewing them edge to edge felt so immersive (I got a few double takes from people on the train thinking “what phone is that?!” lol)
– Battery life is a monster! I could easily get 2 (some days I got 3) days with normal use and a day and half with intensive use without having to charge the phone
Cons:
– The camera is a real let down. I’m not a avid photographer but I do like to take pictures of things I find that’s worth taking a picture of. The camera on the Mi Mix seems very sluggish and slow at times and the quality of the images especially at night doesn’t the phone justice.
– It’s surprisingly heavy (this might just be because I’m use to smaller phones) but the weight eventually made my wrist hurt especially if I was reading Reddit or a website for a long period of time
– It’s way too fragile to go naked. I was so scared to use the Mi Mix naked that I had to use the case (which added bulk). When people asked to see it I’d always take the case off for them so they experience the awesomeness of the Mix display
That’s pretty much it.
I’ve heard that a Mi Mix 2 is in the works. I’m a gadget geek so if Xiaomi can get the phone down to a slight smaller size and improve the camera quality, I can look pass MIUI and will give the Mix another try 🙂
Yeah I do like Xiaomi and it’s competitive pricing on their phones. I seriously want to get out of Apple eco system and switch to Android but I’m so heavily invested in it it’s bad.
I agree, MIUI bloatwares and ads are a real turn off sometimes.
I’ve managed to get out of a phone contract and on a SIM only deal now (which took me years!). At least this gives me the flexibility to change from one phone to another 😀
Will do man. Thanks.
