I follow forums, tips, tricks, problems, for years now, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned is – You like your phone? It works fine? Well, don’t ever update.
Btw you can turn the MIUI optimization back on, I turned it off only to install YT Vanced. I don’t need to touch MIUI optimization to update YT Vanced using the Vanced manager, just updates perfectly and no errors.

Exactly. I used MiUI for almost 3 years and had no problems with it. In fact I miss many of its features on my Pixel phone.
tbh i have it disabled from months now , i didn’t even face any major bugs , or a minor bug i can remember.

Some elements of the UI are messed up. For example long pressing an app on the home screen and then pressing app info would cause some of stock Android to glitch with MIUI styling.

Literally same. I see people complaining here all the time about MIUI and I’m like “am I the luckiest person alive or are they just super unlucky?”
And guess what? You can use NewPipe or MiVideo app to do the same thing Vanced does.
Honestly I bought my 10T about 4 months ago, I keep it updated and I had zero issues since day one. MIUI works well and smooth and it’s actually pleasant for the eyes. This is my first Xiaomi phone: I was a Samsung Galaxy S series user before. I’m totally loving Xiaomi.
I actually posted this issue about 2 weeks ago. Had the same exact problem after the recent update. Mine does this after exiting “maybe” a phone intensive app . I never got any help really, and third party launchers are just straight up boring to me. My personal manoeuvre around this is to either uninstall the app that did this (it sucks uninstalling a nice game you actually like) it automatically fixes itself. Oooor, go to drawer settings and turn off and on app categories. Works like a charm.
i have redmi 10s with miui 12.5.10 and didint had any bigger problems besides ocasionall sluttering or lagging but thats normal with miui.

The app locker shown in the vid is not similar at all to the app locker on my phone. I dont know if it has to do with the MUIU version, but it led me to believe that its not the official launcher.
Everyone knows that. Xiaomi does not care at all. They just flood device after device with zero bug fixes and optimization.
They just love the upvotes for the “miui bad” circlejerk. Most times its discovered that those bugs appear from disabling miui optimisations in developer options though, option, that warns you numerous times that it will cause bugs…
