My choices are Mi 11 Ultra (if it materialises) or Sony Xperia 1 III.
It never cooled down and the camera is nowhere near the ultra. I got rid of it almost right away. I also didn’t like the aggressive curvature of the screen on the 11, it just looked so weird. It’s a shame cu it’s a beautiful display.
Mi 11 Ultra i Would wanna try for sure.
If you had to choose and you like photography I’d take the mi 10 Ultra over the mi 11 for now at least. Hands down. That sensor on the Ultra is so good.
\- Has your Mi 11 cooled down now ?
\- If a Mi 11 Ultra comes about would you recommend it on the basis of your experiences with the Mi 10 Ultra ?
Mine reached 52 degrees Celsius during setup. Terrifying experience. Found battery worse than on any of the other prior flagships. I still swear by the Mi 10 Ultra. Couldn’t live with the 11.
We are not talking about miui is trash or not. Optimisation is the problem. Moto is also generally known for pushing out phones with buggy and trashy updates. I bet flash some custom rom on that device and check. It will run fine and better than the redmi 9. My moms galaxy m30 (exynos 9611) is faster than my note 7 with snapdragon 660. Also if phone can’t use basic android function it can also be called bad os. Install split apk without disabling miui optimisation, which is impossible. Aggressive ram management. Lockscreen notification issue. There are tons of issues that hasn’t been solved in last two years when i bought redmi device.
Moto Z has UFS 2.0 what are you talking about?
Degradation of flash memory my arse I hardly put anything on it and that’s not how memory. It does not get slower unless it is seriously failing. Which this isn’t.
The Redmi 9 benches almost the same and has slower emmc than Moto Z.
Never the less it feels a lot more snappy.
Moto z is a 2016 phone with older ~~emmc~~flash memory , older hardware and comparing it with a 2020 device is just plain wrong. There are many things that affects the performance of a device. The degradation of moto z flash memory is enough to affect the performance drastically. Older chipset (doesn’t matter it is 800series) with very less efficiency than even current budget/midrange devices. There is no single point of comparison. And to be honest we recently bought a poco phone with 4/64 configuration. After installing some apps it started showing ui lags and slowness. It runs miui 12 out of box. Can’t imagine how the phone will be in an year. Great hardware is often ruined by their software. I am using redmi note 7, bought during launch and it was fine then. Gradually with updates it slowed down. Gsi roms like oneui, oxygen os and realui runs fine without issue in my phone. Miui is the one that sucks. Laggy and freeze. Custom roms is so smooth.
Redmi 9 feels a lot faster than Moto Z. They can be compared. Stock Android not all it is cracked up to be.
Moto z and mi 10 lite can’t be compared. It will obviously have difference. When you check mi 10 lite with a same specced phones you will understand the difference. Miui after 6 months will be a laggy mess compared to stock or other android versions. When you use mi 10 lite it will feel faster because of good hardware. The same hardware performs far more better with custom roms or other oem skins. Optimisation plays a serious role. Mi 10 ultra is the only one optimised well for miui 12. That flies like any other android phone with same specs. But sooner or later xiaomi will destroy that. Xiaomi only takes care of their present phones in market.
Bluetooth 5.2 with Bluetooth LE Audio!!! That’s what I was waiting for! Now just have to wait for great TWS earbuds with LE support to come out as well… then all will be good!
> I expect to not lose 10-20% battery overnight when nothing is running.
It doesn’t.
Also I don’t want to carry the charger.
Xiaomi is very sorry for putting a good sized battery in their phones rather than a joke
they’re sorry
🙁
? we have known it was coming for ages
I had stock Android on a Moto Z and it was nowhere near as fast as MIUI on my Mi 10 Lite. I know the Mi 10 Lite is faster hardware wise but it is like night and day. Mi 10 Lite is as fast as my computer.
Reddit app is crap. Use another one.
Likewise, you wouldn’t be in a Xiaomi subreddit if your pockets were deep.
I hope your wallet is as big as your mouth.
You talk about money when you’re using the poco X3?
Idiot, it’s not the money. Xiaomi 10 is too heavy. I went to consider it but the galaxy s20+ is much lighter.
I am just glad that the best price to performance value company has partnered with the best SoC manufacturer out there.
Time to use a custom rom
Then get a different device. If you don’t have the money then you’re stuck with a cheaper device and have to compromise.
Really? Whenever I go on Apple daily tech support I see complaints all the time. Don’t remember if reddit specifically but general stuttering of the phone, quite a lot.
I dont know man, I dont see anyone complaining about reddit stuttering on iphone
not really. I made the mistake of buying a note 9S.
1st mistake cause it’s FLIPPING HUGE and uncomfortable for 1 handed use and 2nd mistake Xiaomi updated miui but purposefully left “budget/mid-tier” phones out of some features.
also have dust in my camera module, although I never opened the phone up, lmao (I have to check if I can RMA it and possibly get my money back or another phone on the same price range).
Pixel is literally the only Android phone that doesn’t kill applications.
https://dontkillmyapp.com/
You get that on literally any phone. Even iphones.
Just put it with an Oled Screen, a headphone jack and everyone will be happy
I’ve also got the M10T Pro. I’m very happy with it. I’d like the 888 but I’m not in a rush. Need to see real world benefits. This phone is already faster than my fingers and my eyes. 😂
I hope the software experience will match the hardware specs though !
I get quite a few stutters ,especially on the reddit app.
Maybe lighten them?
I don’t buy the current mi 10 phones because i don’t want to carry a brick.
I agree. Sd855 is already more than sufficient for all the current uses in a smartphone and can play all games on max graphics. I’m using a sd865 phone and miui has to repeatedly reload apps after prematurely killing them. My girlfriend has a pixel which is buttery smooth through optimisation.
Because of lucky number in China
People who have only used miui or used miui for so long thinks that it is well optimised and faster. But when we try different phone with same spec or another os, we understand that the phones with these specs are able to do more. Lack of optimization is a serious issue. And many annoying bugs and xiaomi intentionally destroyed many core android features which makes it difficult for many apps and split apk is pain in the ass in Xiaomi phones.
It fully sold out in Turkey in first week of the launch. Its 740 usd with taxes.
Xiaomi Mi 11 or Xiaomi Mix ??
It’s really popular what are you talking about haha
No idea but if it’s implemented in the stock camera app I think it should
Does mi 10t pro have moon mode like 9t pro have ?
What’s wrong with the performance of that one? I had a Mi 9T, it’s little brother, so I’m kind of curious.
OLED also has the tendency to get screen burn in. If you use your phone in the sun or make it too hot then it’s a risk. LCDs have none of those downsides.
Well now that’s a concern to me haha
Let’s hope mine lasts fine.
I’m one of the weirdos that love LCDs over OLED strictly because of OLED’s nature of dying natural causes being it’s *organic* LED. True OLED delivers better screen quality than LCD but it will last longer than the OLED.
Doesn’t it bother you that it doesn’t have an OLED screen?
I’m going for the Mi 10T Pro cause it’s pretty bang for the buck considering its specs. I wish there was still LG presence in the Philippines but they folded their smartphone division years ago.
What are you looking for upgrade?
I had a very hard time deciding between my phone and the Oneplus 8t, went with Xiaomi cause the price.
iPhone convert? Nice.
I’m currently rocking the Poco F1 but I really want to upgrade cause it’s not handling Genshin Impact well.
When you just bought mi 10t thinkint you’ll use it for at least 2 years 🤡
I’m just arriving to Android with a Poco F2 Pro and it feels amazing with SD 865.
I can only be excited of what’s coming next.
The second part of your comment seems more true lol
Btw the Snapdragon 888 is not fake, Qualcomm announced it this week.
I also have the mi 9t pro and honestly i am disappointed by its performance. Really expected more.
Okay, so I have an issue with this trend. Phone processors continue to get faster and faster and that is great and somewhat noticeable from generation to generation but the real issue is MIUI. It needs help. It severely needs optimization and I will compare it to IOS because that is the peak optimization from my point of view.
Xiaomi makes incredible phones (Mi 9T Pro user myself) but the one thing that will hold it back is currently the Software and the fact that it is pretty average.
There won’t be any stock left until then 😛
Can’t wait to buy this on Black Friday 2021.
Yes I am. Hopefully first phone with a good selfie camera under the screen.
I was going to get the Mi 10T pro too. Damn I’m going to get jealous with the new 888 chipsets.
yikes! Just yesterday I bought a MI 10T, this move fast. Great phone BTW!
