I’ve had this problem on my Note 8, as well as my Note 9, don’t know why it still happens
How bout reboot?
It Is ages that this bug is there but they seem to not give a single f***.. i update every alpha of MIUI Launcher, but they never fixed it..
It’s not a big, it’s a feature.
Why can’t we have app drawer like iPhone???
NOVA Launcher has all kinds of launchers. I use Poco launcher 2.0 now which is pretty good for me.
Just switch to the poco Launcher. It keeps all the miui exclusive animations with more features and less bugs.
Had the same problem. Changed the default launcher now it’s fine.
Okay, I just found a really weird and specific bug (?) on my Redmi Note 9s. When the phone is locked (screen off) and is unlocked using fingerprint, the app drawer doesn’t appear until the home button is pressed. This does NOT happen when there is a shortcut on the homescreen, only when it’s completely empty. This also does not happen when the screen is opened first (showing the lockscreen) and unlocked with fingerprint/face unlock.
This only happens when (1) the screen is off and is unlocked using fingerprint and (2) the homescreen is completely empty.
Is there a fix to this? Why does this happen?
Use Nova Launcher 😉
Tried it, didn’t work unfortunately.
Okay then. Thank you very much.
What launcher do you use?
To be honest when I first saw the phone I thought it was totally smashed up and this was a joke post lol
Welcome to MIUI. Try changing the launcher, and while youre at the changing part you might as well change ROMs as well.
Looks definitely like a launcher bug. Try switching to a different one. Are you using default?
You can download [empty widgets](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blankicon) on Play Store or just make one yourself with KWGT
Have you tried turning it off for a minute then turning it on again?
Yeah, I just installed Poco earlier after another comment’s suggestions and it fixed this problem.
Report it as a bug on their forum in the bugs section. I have reported such bugs before and they have been fixed in the next update. Maybe yours will be too.
I don’t have the Google feed anymore as I’ve already debloated this phone. Thanks for the information though, hope they fix this.
But the wallpaper is good
[Here](https://i.imgur.com/3guD5y0.jpg) you go! Forgot where I got it from though.
What launcher do you suggest? I’d like to avoid changing ROMs as much as possible.
I dont have this problem in Redmi not 8 but I have noticed that there is a bug with permanente notifications that disappear when we close the application associated . is that a general problem? do you have this problem too?
I changed it to Poco Launcher v2, it’s fixed now and works like magic
No and the launcher is having minimal affect on battery from ky experience
Didn’t work either
How did you have the Google Feed?
Same it happens sometimes I’m using redmi note 9s
Same problem in Redmi Note 9 Pro
I’ve not run into this issue. But I’ll keep it in mind.
Ahh yes the horrible mess that is MIUI…
Holy shit, lmao thank you for this. Using it now, works like magic
Hope they fix this in the next update. I’ve put the lock screen widget on my homescreen for now, but I would really love it to be empty.
This is a problem I’ve had on miui for ages across two phones. Iirc, what I did to fix it was to disable the Google now feed when you swipe left
>This does NOT happen when there is a shortcut on the homescreen, only when it’s completely empty.
yes it does happen, not as often maybe, but it happens. Also while using infinite screen.
Can’t help you with a workaround or fix, but happy to see I’m not the only one who noticed this.
I have the same problem on my Note 9 Pro but hadn’t determined that it was due to the empty homescreen.
It’s a shame that the clean homescreen is buggy, but I’ll tag you if I stumble across a solution.
I have the the redmi note 9 pro too and it happens to me even if my home screen isn’t empty
May I ask? If I install two launchers, will the stock launcher (MIUI) running in the background? I’m worried that it would drain my battery more.
btween bugs or that funtion dont exist.
Thank you, I’ll try it
