Match made in heaven.
China only?
Its a vega 8 igpu. Still not as good as something like the mx150, but still better than intels.
Small price to pay for its cost performance ratio
Does it have USB C thats what I want to know.
Awesome! Much better than Intel.
We all know how Xiaomi phones are superior in terms of bang for buck.
Do anyone here uses their laptops? How are they for their prices?
” cost performance ratio “, well, xiaomi laptop is not strong at this point.
The R7 CPUs have Vega 11 GPUs which are pretty much on par with the MX150
Probably no thunderbolt 3 then….
Also relatively cheap for what you get
Pretty good. The ration is not as good as the phones, but still decent

I have a mi air 13.
I love it – the build quality is great. Not amazing for the prices, but I think that’s to be expected until they start to become established in the field.
I bought early this year a xiaomi gaming laptop ( i7-8750H / GTX 1060 6gb / 16gb ram) for 1030€ ( gearbest flash sale) and I’m super happy with it, the construction quality is awesome as the aesthetics, the minor issue was the fact of the OS came in Chinese, but a fresh W10 install did the trick and the keyboard is in US QWERTY ( I’m from Portugal) but I mostly use it for video editing and motion graphics on the go so no big deal.
Definitely recommend
yeah but he asked about cost/value. It’s not that good in that regard.
you can get a similarly specced laptop for a cheaper price, with warranty (in EU).
I mean they are not that bad but definitely not the best bang for your buck. Similarly specced laptops go for cheaper even in the EU, from big brands, with warranty and official english OS rather than a Chinese one.
Warranty is also more important with laptops than phones imo.
In terms of raw performance – just a mere okay.
In terms of build quality – exceptional. In terms of everything combined – you’ll never find anything like it from another brand. There simply is no other thin and light laptop with similar performance for a price as low as the one Xiaomi quotes.
I believe the relation between the specs that I described with the price I paid answers that.
But if if you can get a better deal…good for you

You don’t glue the keyboard stickers for your information. They just stick just like post-it
So is everyone in Germany used to qwertz? Is it just these two they are replaced, also do people use stickers to change the lettering quite common or is it very rare only for imported laptops.

Specs wise, alternatives can be found in that price category.
When it comes to design and quality, there are only alternatives from Apple, Microsoft, Huawei at twice the price….
Do you not remember where the keys are ?
I do, but they can type without looking at the keys.
Best choice for low budget to me. I bought the 2019 gaming laptop a few month ago. Overall, the build quality is pretty good, track pad is one of the best in window, 2 RAM slots, 3 SSD, easy to install by yourself, temp is great. Screen color is good but have a backlight bleeding issue.
As a Spaniard I can relate. And as a developer I want that < and > in the right place and a big fatty intro button.
Pretty sure that’s only for the Microsoft Surface custom Ryzen laptops
Does it have a dual channel memory?
