After testing a few roms on RN7Pro CN, conclusion is – Resurrected Remix is the best!

MIUI is crappy!
Can confirm that bliss ROM and HavocOS have this in the latest iterations as well as xiaomi specific kernel settings for ambient display and wave gestures (also edge lighting)
Wow, it looks much better, saw buggy as hell on my poco x3 on the early releases

You’re on a sub for the phone brand with the best quality/price ratio and you ask someone why they don’t get an iPhone.
Surely. If you have any questions specific DM me
Hey thanks for encouraging me, if you got some good sources just show me and I’ll have a look. Really like the idea to get rid of the original and pretty heavy MIUI 12.
is it available for the redmi note 9? and if it is how do i install it?
Looks like I won’t update mine anymore :3
I can’t install other custom roms either since i use the second space quite often.
why it’s the best?
battery life, better UI, features, less buggy?
Entire ram management is fucked up on note 7. It doesn’t properly manage ram. Sometimes it goes below 512mb and doesn’t remove some app and entire device becomes freezed for sometime. Tested side by side with miui 11 and both has same amount of ram free with same set of apps. But managing is worse on miui 12 for this device.
Not at all. Moreover, who said iPhones are free of Google? Secondly, iPhone won’t let me be in control the way I can be in Android. Third, I do not wish to pay huge loads of money for a phone.

Have you done factory reset when updating to miui12? Just curious
Definetly too scared to install some custom rom. I’m pretty sure I’ll fuck up the flashing process of my Mi Note 10 lite…
Sot?
Not sure of its exact performance on the note 7, I dont own that device.
> Also , is there any security or some other concerns if you install a custom rom
Generally no, every ROM post on XDA should have a list of hardware working so you can check. As for security some ROMs depending on the maintainers schedule may not always be on the latest security patch but that’s mostly no big deal and the patches will come as long as the ROM is maintained.
I have tried that in the past but I feel it to be really bloated. Recently changed to Lineage OS plus I wanted to ditch Google completely (not possible since most apps got google related trackers)
what’s the best for mi 9se?
Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll use it then if I change my rom to custom ones.
The stock is already pretty good what do you actually want to customise? I prefer a more stable ROM than anything else.
Is that also like creating a new different phone? I use dual space because I’m taking advantage of an app that gives discounts for every new account created in it, unfortunately it can detect of you’re using the same phone. Dual space in itself is like a new phone so it can’t be detected.
What other ROMs did you try?
You can use island or shelter for second space in aosp roms or just use other user account on aosp.
Have you tried ROOTING your phone and then freezing apps so they don’t run in the background? That alone helps a lot to reduce lag.
Lol for some reason RR is the only ROM that refuses to work on my Redmi Note 9s (curtana) even the lastest update on XDA from like a month ago sent me into a recovery loop. Just switched from bliss (my long time favorite) to HavocOS which is working perfectly so far after about a week.
Hey I’m kinda new to ROMS can u teach me the basics because I wanted to try
New user space doesn’t have any connection with other one. They are just seperate. Need another google account to sync. Everything seperate. But if some app is checking device serial no seperately, both these dual space and user accounts can’t do anything. A single device will only have single device serial number.
For anyone who wants to root and keep many functionalities like banking apps and miui abilities, consider using xiaomi.eu

Well, best is kinda subjective. My best is PA!
I ran pixel experience on mine before selling it.
My RN7 was too good on Miui 10. After updating to Miui 11 and 12 it became crap.
Why shouldn’t I downgrade it to Miui 10?
Oh boy yes I can tell got so laggy after updating
Best customization.
Is it better for performance , cause i want to install a cistom rom on my redmi note 7 3gb. With miui 12 update it’s been laggy , like a lot over some weeks. Also , is there any security or some other concerns if you install a custom rom??
well im not talking about xiaomi, im talking about calling a spesific rom “best”. I have redmi note 7 and I change roms like changing underwear. I didn’t find any “best” rom so far. No rom can be “best” by any means. There are so many aspects. Also if i prefer battery life over all, i will say the lightest is the best. But if someone prefers maximum performance, he will say that maximum antutu and 3dmark points will be the best. So in my opinion, calling a rom “best rom” is literally being a fanboy. Please reconsider what I meant before downvoting.
Idk, I’m looking for a rom with alternatives to gameturbo and floating windows, It’s the only reason I’ll keep up miui. Does Resurrected remix has a replacement for game turbo?
After it got so laggy i did it , but still it’s kinda meh
For me on davinci it didn’t boot with the open gapps stock package, but was fine with the full package. Maybe you could try sometime if you haven’t already
1. What about the battery on custom ROMs compared to MIUI?
2. Do you recommend moving away from MIUI?
