Yes okay, but you can change that in settings so that it never sleeps. My redmi note 9 pro is set up like that.
It’s a pity that you left the watermark there…
Thanks 🙂
Amazing. I just discovered LRTimeLapse. I’ll be buying it as soon as I can justify it.
AMOLED burn-ins are real, but you should be way more worried about battery wear than AMOLED wear… AMOLED burn-ins don’t happen that quickly. Whereas battery might lose quite a few percentages as no matter what – your phone may get hot if you keep camera app open for long and under load. Besides, if you are so worried about AMOLED burn-ins, just lower the brightness to the absolute minimum?
You’ll probably be fine, it’s a device you’re meant to use, might as well use it.
REDMI K20 PRO AI TRIPLE CAMERA
Let’s be honest, he has to start over again.
Don’t you watch movies for 2.5 hours or some Netflix series for much longer than that? There’s nothing to do with leaving the screen on for a long time. Actually this was shot for around an hour or so.
Thanks a lot! I had no idea about this yet I knew that amOLED is made up of some kind of organic polymer but i didn’t know that it can have these kind of side affects.
Song name? That’s cool tho!
I wanna try this but I’m afraid of AMOLED burns that may occur after leaving the screen on for long time. Wish there was a way to do that while screen off. How long did it take to capture this?
I looked that snap mode but even I’m running latest MIUI version my camera does not have that feature
Usually i decrease the brightness to 15-20% as amoled displays can get really dark and its nearly impossible to see in daylight with lowest brightness. BTW i would keep that in my mind. Thanks 🙂
Yeah, like shutter button or other camera interface elements are static images. While watching a movie, pixels colors always change. That was a common issue on old AMOLED samsung phones because they didn’t implemented a script that our phones have right now that moves status bar items in a small range over time to prevent burn-in.
“The reason is the O in AMOLED, which stands for Organic. Over time, the compounds in an AMOLED display degrade – just like the components of batteries do – and as they do, they can leave ghostly images behind in the areas that have been subjected to the most electronic wear and tear. That’s AMOLED burn-in. Burn-in can be the result of using any app regularly for prolonged periods. The simplest way to avoid burn-in is to ensure that your display doesn’t show the same thing in the same place for long periods.”
You stayed and pushed on the shutter bitten 400? Times?
Great job!!! 👏👏
The comment I was looking for 😂 So much effort only to leave the watermark on
Actually, Auto clicker – auto tap application did
Unlikely unless you leave it at full brightness
You can check the notificaction bar and the touch button at the bottom (if you dont use gestures). If your phone is not new and dont ahve those things already burnt in, it’s unlikely that this will do unless left at full brightness as said above.
At least with mix 3, zero issues so far (use it at 50-75%) sometime leave pokemon go autowalking for hours.
You’re welcome
It was intentional
Thanks!
It’s a very powerful tool for creating flicker free timelapses. Right now I don’t create much timelapses but back in 2021-22 I used it a lot. It works even better with the RAWs from digital cameras which I used to use for my astrotimelapses
Just set the phone to never sleep?
How much interval per click?
Very cool!
Turn off the water mark in settings.
No! Phone turns off after timeout which is around 15-30 Seconds or more. I have to click photos per 3 seconds so the screen was triggered everytime when clicked.
Oh so it’s like r/mildlyinfuriating?
I don’t think 400 shots, maybe one in each second, have any notable effect on screen burnout. Apart from this, there are apps that can take photos or videos when your screen is off (Example: [Background Recorder](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nepdeveloper.backgroundcamera&hl=en)). What’s more, taking photos with the screen off is/was actually a promised feature of MIUI 12, at least on some models (look for “MIUI 12 Snap Mode” on google).
It was intentional. I usually capture without any watermark
Clicking on the screen makes it stay on
So you had to set your phone to stay always awake?
There is also stay awake option in developer options menu.
No! Phone doesn’t sleeps unless you don’t do anything on the screen. Auto clicker taps every 3 seconds.
Looks awesome!
That’s great
Thanks!
Yeah something like that but it’s to make people sure that it’s been shot on phone
Can’t remember actually. It was from YouTube audio audio library in mystery/dark/ambient category.
3000 ms
Yes but they aren’t static images. But if the camera UI stays on the screen 1 or 2 hours that might hurt.
Yeah, it’s not yet implemented in most models AFAIK.
Thanks!
I can easily remove it in premiere pro
Static images?
