Some games and apps download ads so You can watch them offline, check where your games or apps are installed

Check using your file manager for any videos instead of the gallery
I had this problem
Some files didn’t properly deleted so thay just taking memory,
I used Google files app and it worked
Video cache .. you probably came across ads in social media sites like reddit, insta , fb…the videos or the gifs that you watch are stored in the apps cache section…those ad videos contribute to this 1GB junk that you are seeing.

220MB :/ Clearly not the problem here, I just came to a conclusion that these are some ads and some games cutscenes.
Maybe you have videos contained in WhatsApp and Viber cache folders.
When you go to the app Infos of the messenger, the first point shows the storage use. How much is it there?

Some times the messengers save huge files of media on the device and the gallery for example recognize it as cache files of something, so you can’t see them as pictures or videos in the gallery

I’m guessing it’s most likely cache from youtube, chrome and other games I have on here.

Ads. Some apps cache ads directly in the phone storage. Clearing your cache will help, but I recommend you to individually open every app folders and delete only what you don’t need
Disk Usage with a green icon. Very old and not updated, but still works perfect on newest Android versions.
Porn jokes aside, probably from video caches from games, your browser, etc.? Also check your “Recently Deleted” images and videos.

Problem is most vids names are unlike by linux/android and do not show in gallery until renamed without spaces hyphens and special chars.
Once you rename them, they will be visible in gallery etc.

None in the moment. .I try using other file manager app and it shows the file but unfortunately it cant be deleted. Try checking it out in the PC if it can be done .. I only try the Android route which is sadly a bitter end.
Download mx player and then go to Local Player settings> List> check show hidden files and ignore .nomedia files. Then refresh the app(or close it and open it back again). You will see all the videos.

It was also happening with me,but when I used 3rd party file manager like Google files I was able to videos but when tried to play it won’t play but you can delete it from there.
I think Xiaomi’s built-in cleaner is lying for some reason. I’ve also seen posts about this thing deleting photos and other stuff when run.
Could you not go into tools/security/boost phone speed and then after that’s done, there you have the list of all the files on the phone and their location?

connect yr phone to pc, download TreeSize and run scan. It helped me solve simmilary problem
so some application saved files with the extension miui sees as video files. I do not see any other solution.
They may be from different games with cutscenes

I used that but I can’t tell which folders go under “Other”.

Probably a cache somewhere. You can try searching for the “.nomedia” files with a file manager to find them. Directories with a “.nomedia” file in them don’t show up in galleries.
It’s deleted videos or failed downloaded videos file . U can try using uni patcher to see the file though you need to search every folder.. it cant be deleted unless you reformat the phone same to wat I did twice .

Maybe try this. Go to file manager then video. See if it appears.
