Wait, I need to call my brother, Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi. Gimme a sec

I’m going to save you a click.
Back in October, Xiaomi [started rolling out](https://www.xda-developers.com/download-miui-11-xiaomi-redmi-note-7-pro-poco-f1/) a stable release of [MIUI](https://www.xda-developers.com/tag/miui/) 11 for several Xiaomi and Redmi devices. Since then, the company has released its latest Android skin for devices like the POCO F1, Mi Mix 2S, Mi Mix 3, Mi 8, Mi 8 Pro, and Mi 8 Explorer Edition. Now, the company has released kernel sources of the Android 10 update for these devices.
If you’re a developer looking to release an Android 10 based custom ROM for these devices or if you’re a power user looking to improve your phone’s performance, you can now access the kernel sources from the link below. The dipper-q-oss branch on Xiaomi’s GitHub contains the kernel source code and device tree source for the Android 10 updates released for the aforementioned devices.
Xiaomi has been doing a great job of releasing kernel sources for its devices over the last couple of months. The company recently released kernel sources of the Android 9 Pie build for the[ Xiaomi Mi Note 10/Mi CC9 Pro](https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-note-10-cc9-pro-kernel-sources-android-9/), along with kernel sources of the Android 10 build for the [Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro](https://www.xda-developers.com/kernel-sources-available-android-10-updates-samsung-galaxy-s10-series-xiaomi-mi-9-redmi-k20-pro/). At this rate, the company is expected to release kernel sources for more of its devices in the coming weeks.

this only stated K20 pro, not K20, think theres a typo in the XDA link in the OP’s post
True. And also unlocking the bootloader is a breeze.
Still no Mi A3 news…
“Android One” sure
You sure? I have MIUI 11 but only android 9 on the 4g model.
wait for the cc9e to get it
Pretty sure Google made it mandatory for every company using Android to release kernel sources a while ago.
Yes but only done things like the changes they made to the Linux kernel many don’t and OnePlus and Google open source all their device blobs and proprietary features. I know Samsung definitely doesn’t and use things like knox to block modifications.
still, waiting for grus cam fix
January
