Wait I thought it wasn’t released yet?
The detail level looks really good.. Can’t wait for gcam port for 108mp shots
The dynamic range on that huge sensor really seems great. How much is this phone supposed to cost?
6/128 GB and 8/256 GB. Pricing is respectively CNY2,799 ($400/€360) and CNY3,099 ($440/€400), while a third variant, called Premium Edition (the one with the 8P lens) has an 8/256 GB storage is CNY3,499 ($500/€450)
What is 8P lens?
yes very good price, but what about cpu ? 855+ or 730G. European variant may come with 855+
Will release the 11.11 at midnight. (Beijing time) for the shopping day <3
>CC9 Pro Premium Edition
They keep the 730G who do the job, Mi note series (or CC) still mid-range phones
Sounds like a very good and interesting Phone. Luckily it doesn’t become the Mi 9 Pro Elite Premium edition or whatever confusing naming Xiaomi could come up with. Looking forward to non DXOmark tests.
It used to be flagship tho
Mi Note 1 and 2 were the most expensive Xiaomi had back then
Then they released the 3 which was high mid-range
Would’ve been great if they released an 855 version (but they already have a lot of phone with it)
Yeah cant wait for Mi Note 10 pro max se lite explorers edition to show up in Europe.
Can’t see those comments where Megapixels do not matter?
This. They are marketing it as ‘world’s first’ and all that. But I can’t figure out what this lens is.
How much of a difference can we expect with the 8P lens?
Shhh don’t draw them out of their hidey holes, we don’t want to scare them too much
Whole Dxomark do not matter
It’s like a Huawei P30 pro
But your no-argument comment does, I know.
8 pieces.
You need arguments on how Dxomark is irrelevant ?
I do. What about their reviews is not objective? And if they are irrelevant then who is relevant? Or do we just buy all the phones on the market and review them ourselves before deciding?
Crazy how their most expensive model is 450€ while other flagships start at 800 or even more. Yes it doesn’t have the best SOC available but imho it doesn’t need to. I’m using the Xiaomi Mi9T with the Qualcomm 730 SOC and it’s flying through everyday tasks. If you are not a hardcore gamer then 730 is more than enough. I really like their goal of making great products at an affordable price. I’m also quite interested in the MI Watch that they apparently gonna unveil today.
Well their testing method looks decent but their scores are absolutely ridiculous regarding smartphones for the least. for exemple the Xiaomi Mi 9 got a better score than both the Pixel 3 and Xs max, you can go on any comparaison video or review and you’ll see that it’s ridiculously wrong . The Poco F1 using the stock camera (really garbage quality ) got a similar score to the iPhone 8 and just 3 points less that the Note 8 when in fact the difference in enormous, the Redmi K20 pro got the exact same score as the Pixel 3 and again that’s completely illogical when in fact they’re litterally on 2 different classes. The list of such completely illogical ratings is still long
Agreed! My only gripe (which is actually a positive), is the constant release of new phones haha. My 8T just died so I had to pick up a 9T Pro last week, but waiting for this would have been ideal but I couldn’t have done without a phone waiting 🙁
Was going to buy a Mi9t Pro by Christmas but I think I’ll wait a bit more and buy the CC9 Pro Premium Edition.
So you have an issue because their objective testing methods because don’t output results you agree with? I do agree that their testing may not be completely holistic, but given their method of comparison the scores are accurate.
I have a Pocophone and the stock camera shots are garbage, Its even worse than an iPhone 6s.
If you don’t believe me just go type on YouTube any of the examples I mentioned and you’ll see that’s it’s not my opinion, it’s facts.
Holding on then, not buying the Mi9t pro
I was really considering to get this phone but the lack of water resistance nad wireless charging killed it for me. I still hope that they add those things to the EU version.

CC9 Pro is gonna have a Premium Edition? Now I am truly lost.
> The low light score is lower than its other scores. Shouldn’t it excel in low light thanks to the big sensor size?
Low light photos on phone rely a lot on software too though. And from what I saw in many reviews, Xiaomi software doesn’t on par to other manufacturers like Google, Apple or Samsung.
DxOMark is garbage though and say what they’re paid to say.
I’m sure it’s a great camera phone, but this number means nothing.
Right, I forgot about that part. Curious to see if the S11 next year will also use this 108MP sensor!
I think this sensor itself is better than most used in flagship phone this year. For example iPhone 11 have main camera with pixel size of 1.5 micron, this 108MP on the other hands have pixel size of 1.6 micron when binning.
If Xiaomi can came up with something like smartHDR on iPhone then this phone would be instant buy from me.
It’s probably Mi Note 10 (CC9 Pro) for the 730G and Mi Note 10 Pro for the 855+ (CC9 Pro Premium Edition)
I’m thinking about replacing my Mi A2 with the CC9 Pro or to-be announced Mi Note 10 but I’m wondering how’s the 730G going to perform. They market it as a gaming processor that uses the same architecture as the 855, but 855 beats it performance-wise I suppose? Why not use the 855 in the Premium Edition and make it a true flagship? I’m guessing that the price would be much higher and the CC line is intended to be the great camera-great price kind of a deal.
Now I’m not sure if I should buy the Note 10 now or wait for the Mi 10 (which is expected to launch around February 2020) with the 855+ or 860. Would it even make a difference for someone who uses their phone for photos, editing and social media?
it does have better night scores than the mi9. part of it is also because of OIS.
then dont look at the scores and look at the comparison photos instead? it doesnt take a genius to see the why it has a great camera.
the problem of this massive sensor is probably the long processing time for photos and thats something DXO wont tell u about.
Some good points raised. It will be interesting to see the price in this tomorrow, I suspect it will be £400/450 range initially.
You know Xiaomi, every 5 minutes they are announcing a new phone release, so there will always be another better phone, just round the corner.
I’m going to go for the Mi 9 Lite in the next few weeks. £173 https://www.eglobalcentraluk.com/xiaomi-mi-9-lite-6gb-64gb-dual-sim-blue.html
They release new phones almost every month so you wouldn’t be able to keep up with the newest and best anyway haha. But imho the Mi9t pro is a great choice, I really like the full notchless display on my Mi9T.
Where can we buy this? is this a global version?
You’ll be able to play games in not so ultra settings as SD855 would. Considering it’s a “mobile gaming” (haha), it’s not a big deal
Not gonna happen, and xiaomi sometimes has untested warerresistance they simply never pay for the IP certifications to keep costs down.
OMG Dude… finally xiaomi on top… all time best I’d say
And on mkbhd’s blind test, poco beat iphone x. Not saying its a brilliant test, but it is one way of testing.
Comparing super compressed images ? Yeah sure .
I mean are you denying that The Pocophone score Is illogical ? Are you claiming that the Mi 9 is better that the Pixel 3 ?
Yeah I love my Mix 2 and I’ll have it a bit longer but when I get a new phone I want a great camera. I’m taking more pictures these days.
That’s the Xiaomi thing. New model comes out, wait a little and read reviews, order and wait a month for delivery …. by which time they’ve released a new model.
Why not get a iPhone 11 or Pixel 4 if you only care about the camera?
Haha yep 🙂 it’s still a great upgrade from the 8 as you say notchless as well as the triple cams and various other things 🙂 no regrets just part of it! As I say not particularly a bad thing haha
Yep 🙂 though at least they’re constantly updating!
Same as others, not buying Mi9t pro and waiting for this. Camera is most important part of phone for me.

I’ll skip this 100+ Mpix, I’m waiting for 1024/GIGA Mpix…while my battery needs recharge every single day. 😂 (but true)
Great review from a source that’s generally slightly biased (towards $1000+ models). Xiaomi puts a strong accent on camera since Xiaomi A1 introduced 3 years ago. (still a great phone, by the way)
The only downside (Xiaomi in general and all their models) is that GCAM is sometimes supported out of the box and sometimes needs a few techy games/porting/rooting (that a lot of people cannot/don’t know or want to do) with unexpected results.
You sure we’ll need a port?
I mean, GCAM is supported on some Xiaomi models out of the box (as an install-able app), even on MIUI (ie. latest Redmi note series w/ 48 MP, f/1.8, 1/2″, 0.8µm) – easiest (and best option IMHO, no porting necessary)
I’m gonna stick with the Mi9t pro because of the notchless display, I fucking hate notches with a passion
What happened to your 8T that stuff is so new? You mean the Redmi Note 8T right?
No I mean Xiaomi Mi 8 (think a typo on 8T 🙂 ) – I plugged into the supplied USB Charger to charge it and the screen flickered 99% of the time after that, and was literally unusable – no clue what happened. Quicker/easier to go through phone insurance than via Xiaomi warranty though.
What is phone insurance?!
