Hey, everyone. Was buying a K20 Pro for review and was surprised seller offered me the Mi 9T along with the K20 Pro. So I went and bought both to review.
Thanks for the review.
How is the display quality is it the same as Mi 9?
Edit: I’m of course asking about the display of the Redmi K20 Pro.
Bands in the booklet?
SD card slot?
Thanks for sharing! this is great, can you please check DRM Info app and please tell us the Widevine Level for the mi9T? thanks!
Trivial, but that box design is extremely lazy.
Can you show them with the cover on? I’ve seen countless of videos about the K20 (Pro) and no reviewer actually showed how the cover looks like on the device.
Please give me the red or blue back from the K20 🙁
Is there a way you can check the 4g bands support in Mi 9T?
Yea, would wanna know too!
So, there is an actual difference between the K20 Pro and the MI9T: turbo charging, is that right?
Edit: oh hold on,
K20 = MI9T
K20 pro = MI9T pro
Right?
This auto focus is really pissing me off
battery performance (730 vs 855)?
+1
Yes. K20 = Mi9T
As for a Mi9T pro, nothing has been announced, but it would most likely be the K20 pro
You listed it as having the SD 855. If that’s the case then this is a rebranded K20 pro, not a K20.
none 🙁
hold on, taking a photo now. haha
Headphone jack?
that’s an error on my part. It’s an SD 730. Lazy copy +paste. Even the image sensor is wrong. It’s an IMX 582 not IMX 586. My bad.
it should come out as well.
yeah, sorry about that. I’m a camera beginner. Not sure if it was me or just my lens. probably me.
sorry, didn’t mean to confuse you. Mi 9T/Redmi K20 doesn’t have Turbo Charging. Only the K20 PRO or the Mi 9T Pro (future release)

Yep. It has one! And it says it has hi-res audio too so better audio than the flagship mi 9, I’m hoping.
I did one test right now and my sequential speed was around 495mb/s. that’s the base for UFS right? Is there any other way I can check?
Level 1 for the Mi 9T
have to agree. haha
will probably do one between Mi 9T and K20 Pro.
495, not so good not so terrible.
Just as expected, the band that i need doesnt have it.
I know is too much to ask but can i get a picture of it to show to my people?
Thanks in advance
What is the price?
sure. taking a photo now. replying again in a few minutes.

no official price where I got it from yet. I had to pay a little premium to get it early. but hopefully it will be priced the same as the K20 in China.
So no Band 4, which is main Tmobile 4G in U.S. Sad..
Yep, to my eyes, it looks pretty similar. Nothing stands out between the Mi 9 and K20 Pro display-wise.
Only display option I saw that was on the K20 Pro and not on the Mi 9 is the Anti-Flicker option.
How about the Mi 9T? Was the display any different? I hope you’ll make a comparison video between the three, I’m currently confused on which one to get! Thx
No support for GSM 850? What the heck?
that would be an interesting video wouldn’t it. Battle of the Mi 9s. Minus the Mi 9SE. lol. yeah, I think I want to do something like that. Mi 9T’s display looks a little washed out when I put it beside the K20 Pro and Mi 9.
Oh yes, Band 28! This phone just became a must-buy for Australians
Global version really just means EU versions huh
No NA bands 🙁
No band 4 🙁 the regular Mi 9 Global has band 4
And only 2 3g bands which is strange. I think this limitation is specific for the Philippines.
when filming a subject a set distance from the lens (like your overhead shots) dont use auto-focus, use manual
That’s sad. 🙁 I am not really that a gamer so 730 will do just fine for me, but I want my screen to be gooood. If you don’t mind, can you take a photo of the three side-by-side showing similar photos? Thank you very much!
Thank you! Guess i gotta look for a different phone now
Thank you for the tip. Be sure to make that adjustment in my future videos.
Sure. Will try to take one later and post it here.
I’m still rocking an Mi5 from 3 years ago and still love it. While I’m keeping my hands on it as long as it will stay alive, it’s great to know that there are upgrade options in the horizon
Yea I understand now tnx! 🙂 I’ll have to wait some more for the pro version of the MI9T I think
Mine has shipped, does the box come with a tempered glass for the display or not?
How’s the camera quality of K20 PRO?
I’m thinking of buying a phone right now, should i go for the oneplus 7 or wait for the K20 PRO?
Thank goodness
no tempered glass. just the free rubber/plastic-ish case.
personally, if i had spare money, i’d go oneplus 7 just coz of the unique 90hz screen and it’s a little splash proof. but if i’m thinking bang-for-the-buck, k20 pro or its global version all day.
haven’t tested it that much yet but camera quality seems on par with my Mi 9 (not the Mi 9T. Dammit, Xiaomi, fix your phone model names!)
Looks good! Thanks for the photos!
will try to cover that in my next video. but off the top of my head:
K20/Mi 9T –
Different processor (Snapdragon 730)
Different image sensor (Sony imx 582)
Fast charge up to 18 watts only
K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro (?)
Snapdragon 855
Sony IMX 856 image sensor
up to 27 Watts fast charge
not sure how helpful this is given it’s not an accurate representation but here it is:

thanks so much for going out of your way to give me this. but… i dont know which one is which lol (I know mi 9 is on the left, but wc is 9t/k20pro). Maybe it’s a good thing because it just means the 9t’s display is good enough for my eyes… Thanks again!!
haha the one with google play app is the Mi 9T. 😀 the middle one is Mi 9T
do you feel mi 9t’s display is so much a downgrade from mi 9 or k20 pro? or is it negligible?
sorry if i have a lot of questions about the display, it’s just that it’s the main component of the phone u interact with every time… so if there’s one thing i’m looking for a phone, it’s the display. i just feel buying the pro version will be wasteful for me, because i do not play games or do something heavy, i just watch. sorry if i have to ramble on u, i dont have anyone who i can talk to about these things lol
^sorry ^for ^apologizing ^too ^much ^eek
Thanks 🙏🏼 this will probably be my new phone.
Maybe we’re in luck, an official Xiaomi store has opened (to the press at least) in Broadway in Sydney. So getting there!
Isn’t that strange that it has only 1 2G and 3G band?
Can you make a comparison between cameras Mi9t vs K20 Pro? Both images and video
Yep.will have that comparison out by weekend hopefully
[Xiaomi Mi 9T](http://electrodealpro.com/open-xiaomi-mi-9t-before-launch-unmatched-amoled-display-snapdragon-730-selfie-camera-stuck-out/) **is considered as an international version of Redmi K20 – smartphone with self-indented selfie camera that Redmi introduced last week.**
Recently, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of [Mi 9T](http://electrodealpro.com/open-xiaomi-mi-9t-before-launch-unmatched-amoled-display-snapdragon-730-selfie-camera-stuck-out/) on June 12 through its official Twitter page. Today, less than a week before the launch date, a few videos that opened the phone box were unexpectedly posted on YouTube, thereby revealing the entire exterior design and internal configuration of the device.
Basically, the [Mi 9T](http://electrodealpro.com/open-xiaomi-mi-9t-before-launch-unmatched-amoled-display-snapdragon-730-selfie-camera-stuck-out/) still comes with a curved back glass that is similar to the other Mi 9 series. However, it bears the same design as the one introduced by Xiaomi’s Redmi K20 last week, also has a selfie camera with a recess and a 3-camera cluster on the back.
Even, this phone is equipped with the same specifications as the Redmi K20, so this can be considered as the renamed version of Redmi K20, used by Xiaomi to launch on the international market.
Mi 9T’s case has a black background, the front view of the center printed device, the Mi logo in the upper right corner and the product name at the bottom.
On the front of [Mi 9T](http://electrodealpro.com/open-xiaomi-mi-9t-before-launch-unmatched-amoled-display-snapdragon-730-selfie-camera-stuck-out/), we will have a screen seal that is printed with some key specifications such as a 48MP rear camera, 20MP selfie camera, 6.39 inch screen, integrated fingerprint sensor under the screen, 4000mAh capacity battery, fast 18W charger and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 processor.
Meanwhile, the back of [Mi 9T](http://electrodealpro.com/open-xiaomi-mi-9t-before-launch-unmatched-amoled-display-snapdragon-730-selfie-camera-stuck-out/) is the place where 3 cameras are arranged vertically and placed in the middle with LED flash. In addition, it also has the Mi logo printed on the lower half of the back.
Like Xiaomi’s recent products, the [Mi 9T](http://electrodealpro.com/open-xiaomi-mi-9t-before-launch-unmatched-amoled-display-snapdragon-730-selfie-camera-stuck-out/) accessory comes with a fast QC 3.0 tuber, a Type-C USB charging cable, a black hard plastic case, a SIM stick and direction book. manual.
Instead of the “water drop” design similar to Mi 9, Xiaomi has equipped the [Mi 9T](http://electrodealpro.com/open-xiaomi-mi-9t-before-launch-unmatched-amoled-display-snapdragon-730-selfie-camera-stuck-out/) selfie camera with an indentation that integrates into the upper edge, thus cutting the bezel contours at all four sides and providing aspect ratio. Screen display area almost occupies the entire front.
The camera’s selfie has a resolution of 20MP, which automatically “pops up” each time the user opens the camera application and “goes down” when not in use. According to Xiaomi, this “recessed” camera module only takes 0.8 seconds to activate and has a high lateral level with the possibility of “popping in and out” at least 300,000 times.
Along with the selfie camera, Mi 9T’s top edge is also the place to hold extra audio mic and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The bottom edge of the device is sim tray, USB Type-C charging port, voice mic and external speakers.
The right side is the volume up and down key cluster and the stylized power key is red.
The [Mi 9T](http://electrodealpro.com/open-xiaomi-mi-9t-before-launch-unmatched-amoled-display-snapdragon-730-selfie-camera-stuck-out/) comes pre-installed with the international MIUI 10 version (Global Stable) when sold, based on the Android 9 Pie operating system. Model appears in the open video box leaked with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, but surely Xiaomi will also launch many other configuration options for users to choose.
Currently, there is no information regarding the selling price of Xiaomi [Mi 9T](http://electrodealpro.com/open-xiaomi-mi-9t-before-launch-unmatched-amoled-display-snapdragon-730-selfie-camera-stuck-out/). Therefore, we still need to wait for more information about this phone when it is officially launched on 12/6 here.
I’m looking for info on the support for ARCore for Augmented Reality games. the Mi 8 has it, but the Mi 8 Lite doesn’t.
I trying to find someone to test it for me in Pokemon GO using the AR+ feature as for me it’s a deal-breaker if the phone does not have it.
So, if you play Pokemon Go, or if anyone here owns the Mi 9T and plays, could you please test it. thanks.
Any progress on that ?
Does the camera app have Manual Shutter settings?
“pro mode”? Yep.
Frankie tech did a drain test, 9t won by a good margin it got something like 13h of screen on time
Hello I’ve just ordered a Mi 9 Lite,
do you think I should cancel my order and pay £35 more to get a Mi 9T instead?
The Mi 9 Lite has a Super Amoled display, but the Mi 9T only has Amoled.
The Mi 9T has a faster chip, but a worse front camera.
Please can someone provide some input, maybe you can tell me some other reasons to spend the extra £35 for the Mi 9T instead?
**Thank you**
