Xiaomi box not turning off suggestions

I’ve been trying to turn off viewing suggestions on my very old, but trustworthy, Xiaomi box for a while now, since some unsolicited updates came about. I’m connected to a non-smart tv, so I’m all Android obviously. Lol
Anyway, if someone has an older version like mine, I hope this helps.

> See all apps
> >>>Scroll down to Show system apps
> >>>Scroll down to Android TV Home
>Force stop

Then restart your box!
