Why is my notification bar not transparent? This happened when I updated to MIUI 12.0.5.0. The other transparency effects do work.

Does it happen with every other themes?
In one of the beta updates, xiaomi disabled transparency effects in phones with “weak gpu”, including my redmi note 8. Then, they enabled it again. Maybe this is the reason.
I hope it gets solved because it may not look like a big deal but it is.
But I don’t think it will soon because this isn’t a beta, it’s the stable version.
Yes it does. I’ve wiped my phone factory new and it still happens.
This is a bug reported by many users no need to worry it will be fixed in next updates.
Oh ok thank you
Which phone do you have
Redmi note 9
This happened to me on one of the eu hmnote 7 beta builds. Transparency broke right after applying a theme and factory reset couldn’t fix it. Had to downgrade back to stable.
happening to me on a Redmi Note 9 4GB/128
It’s probably a bug, beacuse I have a Note 8T with MIUI [12.0.1.0](https://12.0.1.0) and it has the non-realtime blur effect in the control center, or anywhere else. You should report it in the feedback app.
how did u get that white dash at down your screen, can u tell me from where to enable it.
Same phone, and did you experience your screen saturates abnormally?
Yh, it does, under sunlight
Is there a way to remove this issue?
Go to full screen gestures you’ll see an option to hide fullscreen indicator, turn it off
same here, it’s annoying af.
How did u get the Google now pane enabled? Is it MIUI12.0.5 ONLY feature?
I think it’s a feature. I first thought it was a bug but later noticed that it makes it easy to see under the sun better than the maximum brightness setting.
same
The same phone and same issue with the update 12.0.6
Yes the problem surfaced with this update. Also i can’t set priority notifications anymore
It came activated with my device, but I am aware that there is an option in configuration.
I don’t know what versions is it available for because I just started using the MIUI launcher since 12.0.4.0. It isn’t available in nova launcher for now.
It is available in nova launcher. U have to get Nova google companion app.
Do u know how to enable it in the MIUI launcher, I’m on 12.0.4..and i can’t find it.
Just found it. In home screen (configuration) there is an option called google now, activate it and that’s it.
Redmi note 9 here, same happened
Same problem here Redmi Note 8. I just upgraded to MIUI 12 and this happened. So I guess we have to wait for an update.
It’s because of the not that good gpu, to improve performance. This is the worst way to make our “problem” better
I got a problem on redmi note 9 the camera app won’t let me take pictures or videos have ever experienced that?
No, it’s not a bug and it won’t get fixed. The official answer from Xiaomi about this is that it’s the new “design”.
Probably they won’t. They say it’s not a bug but the new “design”.
On the official Xiaomi’s FB group called “MIUI Global Feedback” they reply to this issue that it’s not a bug, it’s the new “design”. This is ridiculous I hate this grey screen that can’t be changed.
Redmi Note 7, updated to 12.3. Same.
Redmi Note 7 после обновления до 12.0.3 такая же проблема, как они могли до такого додуматься
Same problem with Redmi 8 , I have updating my phone to MiUi12 today the same problem
It’s intentional, to “help” the performance ok the lower end devices, Xiaomi confirmed it
That makes zero sense because the recent apps and power panel are blurring the background normally. And there’s no such a thing as “low performance” it’s more like a bad optimization thing. The iPhone 5 had blurred panels like for christ sake.
Same here
There is a way go to brightness and remove auto adjust on color saturation
Redmi 9 (prime) here, and didn’t had this problem on 12.0.2 and didn’t had any lag either. Their excuse for doing it to make ‘low end devices’ run better is lazy, and it just proves that they don’t test every phone or ask for people who are using them if it’s bad or not.
Redmi 9 and the entire lineup of this number is on the shelfs for less than a year and a half. To make those phones (with exception of 9A and 9C) to have this with the excuse of “it’s laggy let’s fix it” it’s a middle finger to the end user.
Just add a fucking option to enable or disable this, let us chose if we want the system looking good or bad.
Design my ass. xD
This is lazy and it feels like artificially downgrading a system on low end phones that can run the system because the phone is pretty damn good actually, just to force us to go buy newer models and make the ones who have them feel they have a superior device because they have the most simple effect active.
The effect is so simple that Android GO uses it.
Is there an app that can make it transparent? I know theres some good apps with customizable things and looks, but they have their own styles in order to adjust transparenxy, and I like this new design and placement.. I only want it transparent like it was, no change to other things.
it’s not a problem, they made it so your phone uses less resources. There is an app that solves this, look it up on YouTube
