Hi, everyone. I have an issue with my mom’s phone, that is a Redmi Note 9 Pro. While the phone was updating, she accidentally shut down the phone, and now it shows a warning image and the message “The system has been destroyed Press power button to shutdown”, and the phone doesn’t start. I’ve been searching online, but every issue I see about this is because people trying to install unnofficial ROMs, but this is not the case. Anyone knows how to fix it? At this point, I even accept a hard reset, but I can’t do it because the recovery mode doesn’t show up. Thank you.
Does fastboot show up?
Yes, it does when I start de phone holding start button and volume –
If the bootloader is locked, then I’m afraid you must visit the service centre.
How does a service centre install the ROM if the bootloader is locked? I’m sure they will be able to, but how?
Can ordinary users use the same method?
They have an EDL authorised account and hence are able to do it via the EDL method.
Ah thanks! And I’m guessing there’s no chance that ordinary mortals can get their hands on whatever allows the phone to respond to an EDL authorised input?
Try this if you are able to: https://www.droidwin.com/unbrick-xiaomi-fix-device-stuck-in-edl-mode-via-qfil-tool/.
