Mi deleted the poll tweet. LOL.
The results were Android One: 57%, MIUI:43%
Quite embarrassing.

TBH I expected a bigger difference. I mean almost everyone prefers stock android over any custom android skin.
And only God knows how much they tried to rig the poll in favor of MIUI. That’s even more embarassing. I switched to a rom called Pixel Experience recently and I’m really happy with my Mi5 now.
Asia loves android forks like FlymeOS, MIUI and EMUI.
Yeah me too, but this says a lot about Xiaomi. If this happens to Samsung or some other brand it would’ve been all over the news…
I’m Asian and I like stock Android.
It’s not like most of them like the forks. It’s just that they don’t even know what stock Android is.
They’ll use something like TouchWiz, complain about Android slowing down and then switch to a newer phone.
LOL seems like Mi A1 itself is hurting the sales of their other phones 😛
Not really though. Enthusiasts do, regular users generally more features.
Yes but you have to understand that most people following mi on twitter are xiaomi enthusiasts who are into xiaomi products. And a lot of those don’t prefer miui says a lot.
https://www.lineageoslog.com/statistics
India & China are #1 & #3
US is #7 despite being the third largest smartphone market currently.
As if Pixel/OnePlus/Moto are the top sellers in the western markets.
I like miui more than stock android. It just looks better and has much more features.
> almost everyone prefers stock android
No they don’t. Its the niche tech/nerd crowd which do.
Xiaomi is no longer in that niche, mom and pops(basically majority Xiaomi demographics currently, esp in India) don’t give a shit about such things.
Its undercutting their RN4 sales which is their biggest item atm. in India.
Though hardware is still Xiaomi so they get that even if people buy A1 plus they might have some sort of flexible financial arrangement with Google in case it sells really well, which it is.
That just be why they deleted it then.
I would actively prefer 16:9 to 18:9 and I bet many others would too
yep. Been using phone with MIUI for over 2years. In january my mi4c broke so I bought Mi A1 because Mi 5x would take 1.5 month to deliver. I wish I didnt bought mi a1 and waited for mi 5x.
The only advantage stock android has is that it is easy to modify. It took me 2 days of searching for apps, magisk modules and Xposed modules to make it not annoying. I’m just waiting for mi7 and then I decide if I will buy mi7 or maybe mi mix 2s.
Stock android on mobile phone is like linux on PC. It is fast, reliable, but its just too much hassle and in some cases its simply impossible to do something (in my case it was MIUI touch assistant, I couldnt find perfect replacement)
Read my post again.
The stock android notification system is just better than what MIUI has done with it, even on MIUI9 notifications seem to just group together, you cannot quickly toggle to get more details unlike in stock android and also MiUI keeps prompting me that location is on whenever I use Snapchat
i dont think so. they are in a slightly different price bracket. i would never buy a mi a1 with it costing close to double a rn4x.
Actually no. While MiUI is bigger in size, it also has extra features over stock eg: file explorer app, FTP server, dual spaces, call recording etc.
You can definitely install third party apps for the features, but hunting multiple apps is a hassle which many would like to avoid.
i still think the rn4x is better with NOS or LOS and GCAM even if they costed the same. its not worth the extra money for 2-3h less SOT.
>i still think the rn4x is better with NOS or LOS and GCAM even if they costed the same.
Oh okay in that way. Yeah it might be better.

Well, it’s a poll on Xiaomi’s twitter, what did you expect? Most people following Xiaomi would be MIUI fans. I’m actually surprised that stock Android was leading the poll.
Those who find it a hassle might as well use a featurephone.
Weird, I’m not having any sort of issue!
I wholeheartedly agree
It’s possible, considering they deleted the poll after the result wasn’t in their own favour.
Prefer my 16:9 Nexus 6. But there are a lot of people out there with small girlish hands that think it’s hard to hold
Chinese companies has no sense of design. Never liked Samsung,MI UI including this square icons but obviously comes with pretty handy features.
Nitrogen OS
I’m Chinese and I like stock Android.
I don’t know why you all are bringing population rather than smartphone users. US is third & not far behind India but still in terms of LineageOS install base it’s far behind.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/748053/worldwide-top-countries-smartphone-users/
Just install the latest global Dev via EDl and then try to unlock the bootloader
Lots of MIUI shills here. I’m pretty sure they don’t even know how to root their phones and ever have used a default AOSP android in their life.
Bezeless 16:9 is smaller than bezeless 18:9, you absolutely do not need an 18:9 aspect ratio to have small bezels, why would this even be the case..?
18:9 was introduced as a completely new unsupported standard with zero video content made for it, in an attempt to artificially bump the on paper screen size (to appeal to people like you) without actually increasing screen surface area by any significant amount. Not only this, the top of the screen becomes even harder to reach one handed.
The final part of my point is that manufacturers aren’t sticking to 18:9, there is no current standard, you have Samsung using 18.5:9, Apple using 19.5:9 (in IPhone X), essential using 19:10, and then LG, Xiaomi and a few others using 18:9. It’s absolutely ridiculous. The only advantage it has is for watching films which are in cinematic aspect ratio, but I’d wager very few people actually do this regularly enough to make it worthwhile changing so much for.
Samsung is not Chinese, lol.
I call myself an enthousiast and I prefer MIUI over stock. In fact the first custom rom I’ve ever flashed was MIUI waaay back on my HTC Desire when it stopped getting official updates from HTC and I wanted to upgrade from Android 2.x to Ice Cream Sandwich. Xiaomi has earned a lot of techie fans from the days when they didn’t sell their own hardware and would support perfectly good phones that the manufacturers had given up on.
Just because someone disagrees with you, doesn’t mean they were paid to do it. Maybe your opinions are just not quite as popular as you think they are.
idk man, they deleted the poll because they lost. lol
I’m talking about the people reacting in this thread, not the company.
Oh right, I mean it’s not even a subjective issue. If you like MIUI then you are definitely a brainlet manchild. It’s like saying shit is tastier than chocolates. It’s not, only a braindead or an insane person will say it.
Exactly. If there was any astroturfing going on, it probably came from places like /r/ Android, not the other way around.
Yes
Not only it’s a hassle but some of these 3rd party apps would either be paid or filled with ads.
I like stock Android but I also like MIUI a lot. I don’t get why it has to be a competition, or why people feel the need to disqualify others who happen to have a different preference than themselves.
I feel like a lot of Android fans, maybe because of the rivalry with Apple or something else, have become purists that see stock as “the one true Android” and don’t really give any forks an honest chance, something that ironically goes against FOSS culture.
Sorry, I didn’t mean for it to come across in a way that seemed mean or anything, but there are many people who see a higher number for screen size and want that without realising why it’s a higher number in the first place… As for wanting bezeless I can absolutely see why many want that.
But yeah the marketing directive atm seems to be “bigger screen in same amount of space!” Rather than what could be “smaller body with the same sized screen!”. ‘Bigger’ generally attracts more people than ‘smaller’ when looking at screen sizing unfortunately 🙁
No shit!!
Everyone in my friend circle has a Xiaomi phone and 2 of them have Mi A1. If i were to buy a phone, I too would chose A1
Well, as for video, with taller (wider) displays you at least get a choice. Watch it like you always did, with bezels at the sides, or zoom in and sacrifice a bit of top and bottom. 16:9 doesn’t offer that choice.
Leftits + Chinese trolled epic style
Need For Speed flashbacks
MiUI also comes with theme app which allows you to use any theme and if you want only icons from a specific theme.
And I’m all for that, I love android for the fact that that people have a choice with what they buy. However, the market is quickly becoming 18:9 only with very few options for 16:9 left, with even fewer small bezelled 16:9 options available.
No problem man, I think we’re all guilty of it tbh, even if we don’t realise it…
Obviously a troll. He might be an abused or bullied person seeking for attention.
Lol ok
No one used default AOSP Android, tf are you talking about?
When I’m holding the screen one handed in landscape, it makes it even more impossibler to reach the other side of the screen in any reasonable fashion to press something.
Aside from the fact that 99.9% [guessing] of video content is 16:9
Delayed bootloader unlocking and GPLs violations suggest that they don’t give a shit about the Open Source nature of the platform, and this faux pas simply reinforces it. Thank god i bought the Note4 while the unlocking wait time was still 72h, every day that passes Xiaomi seems a little more anti-consumer with its behaviour.
The Note 4 Global, even when bought locally, is almost half the price of the Mi A1, I don’t think they are in the same segment.
MIUI is the only skin that people actually port to other devices. It changes a lot of things, but there are a decent number of those changes that actually aren’t for the worse.
To be honest they shouldn’t be embarrased with the results. I own a Mi 6 and MIUI is something I don’t mind to stick with when there was no custom roms. I’d rather have MIUI than EMUI or Samsung, LG ROMs
Obviously, I wasn’t precise. Just mentioned that it looks like bezels, especially on OLED screens.
Not where I live. BTW I never said it is hurting sales of just Note 4. I think it is hurting sales of a number of phones over all. Even people looking for expensive xiaomi phones might settle for A1 and people looking for slightly cheaper might be motivated to pay a bit more just for the stock android experience.
I replaced MIUI on my parents tablet after giving it a try. It looks nicer but that’s about it. They build good hardware but their launcher tries too much to be like Apple.
Love my A1 and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new phone. Did have some crashes, though.
This is normal for every company, and no one wants to lose their reputation.
Yep same, I used MIUI across several phones over the years, though once stock ROMs started incorporating a lot of the features I liked in MIUI like lock screen music controls, quick settings (especially customisable ones), app folders and custom theming to name a few, I switched to stock or more stock like ROMs.
I’m casting movies to a TV with my smartphone. And as you say, they’ve been cropped anyway. Also my TV is 16:9! Huh.
On the actual screen, I’m watching short internet video, which are either 16:9, or because some idiot filmed it that way, 9:16.
So practically speaking, your point is entirely moot.
If we were discussing what professional projector or super expensive TV I want to get with maybe a custom resolution, then that would actually be worth mentioning.
Not the only one. The poll wasn’t 99.9% to 0.1%.
Same. It’s super annoying that my 6.2in S8+ screen feels like it’s the same size as my old 5.5in 6s+ screen.
Handlets btfo.
If you’re going to troll, at least use decent bait.
Of course you meant it in a mean way.
Indirectly calling people dumb/uninformed/sheep, whatever.
Either way, most phones using wide ratios have higher screen to body ratios and higher surface area.
Besides, the phone is easier to grip one handed vs a 16:9 with the same screen size/area.
I feel ya man, I currently use a giant of a phone (Xiaomi mi max 2, 6.44 inch 16:9) which is perfect size for my needs, but I had a go on my friends’ galaxy s8 and it just felt like I was using my old 5.1 inch galaxy s7 again.
I’d probably need 7 inch 18:9 for a similar experience to what I currently get.
Nice try Xiaomi PR
The person in question had already said he wanted more screen and less bezel, it’s basically a fact that the 18:9 screens with higher length values are designed to appeal to people like him, I did not mean it in a mean way, I meant it in a way that was factually correct.
The fact that they have higher screen to body ratios itself is down to the smaller bezels, not really the change in aspect ratio. And the increased surface area of said screens is basically negligible unless you’re watching films in cinematic aspect ratio (unless you cut off part of 16:9 videos), as the vast majority of videos people watch on their phones will produce black bars.
Nobody is arguing it isn’t easier to grip a 5.9 inch 18:9 phone than a 5.9 inch 16:9 phone, but the two shouldn’t even be being compared in the first place because one is far larger than the other.
The argument I’m making is that we should have shorter bezeless 16:9 phones, not 16:9 phones of the same physical screen length as 18:9 phones.
Who were these MIUI loving chimps?
Let’s agree to disagree about what you meant.
However, widescreen benefits everything you do on a smartphone since content is vertically displayed.
And yes, most videos get black bars so what? It’s not like you’re seeing more on a 16:9 screen anyway.
Smoother than lineage? no. it is just faster animation scale or someone built a rom which is not optimized for your device.
I’ve used CyanogenMod and LineageOS my whole life but stopped recently because Android has simply added all the features I installed those ROMs for.
The only time I can see myself using them again is if my phone stops getting updates.
If somebody prefers viewing an extra Facebook status over one hand usability then that’s their business. However, I know I for one, and many others most likely would take the ability to reach the top of the screen one handed any day over an extra Facebook status or a couple of extra emails being shown at once. And besides, there is such a thing as scrolling down slightly.
I too use RN4X. LOS is smoother than miui. LOS has more FPS and benchmark scores.
I think 18:9 was more about keeping the same phone *width* while increasing the screen area up and down, and stretching over the previous bezels, compensating for the software keys.
The 18:9 phones are usually [pretty close in width to the ones they replaced.](https://i.imgur.com/tGhxSLN.jpg)
Never said they didn’t have the same width (they do), but even assuming this to be the reason for their inception over just saying they have longer screen, it has major issues. On the one hand many are arguing for 18:9 screens for the fact that that they keep the same width and so are easier to grip one handed, yet at the same time the added height makes it very hard to reach the top of the screen whilst using one handed, forcing two handed use, at which point, why not just have a bigger bezeless 16:9 screen if using two hands anyway?
The fact that software keys take up part of the screen also just means a smaller usable amount of screen compared to buttons embedded in the bottom bezel (unless watching video where they disappear, but you get black bars and no benefit of longer screen).
The point is the physical phones are more or less the same size. If you get rid of the top and bottom bezels and physical buttons, the screen is naturally going to stretch.
Now this isn’t 100% of the story I admit as the phone are not *exactly* the same size, they are a very little bit taller. But I would suggest that is where the impetus came from, to keep the physical size of the phone the same while getting rid of the bezels.
Is anyone aware how can I install regular android on redmi ?
I actually like MIUI as a skin, and the features built in, and the usability.
I CANNOT STAND the killing of background apps and the level of dicking around you have to do to get things that just work on every other Android I have ever owned (Samsung, LG, Sony, Nexus, even no-name Chinese stuff). Even with “locking” apps, AND going into the security and setting to allow them to auto-start, and setting them to not be killed by the memory management, I would still miss notifications for stuff I needed and have stuff just be killed in the background. Drove me up the wall.
I have a new one now with MIUI9 and 4GB RAM, I’ll see how this goes, but Christ it was frustrating with 2GB.
The backgrounding thing was the last straw for me. I can’t deal with apps constantly reloading with **4GB** of RAM.
You’re missing the point entirely, at the minute the phones are the same size yes, but what I’m saying is that a 16:9 phone with the same sized bezels as the current 18:9 phones would be much smaller, retain one hand usability, and still display 16:9 video content exactly the same.
Yes and the reloading too, I’d notice that if I switched out of something and went back many apps would have to reload and I’d just lose whatever I had in them. I have a Samsung tablet that I use about as much as my phone and it just doesn’t have any of these issues. But my Redmi 5 Plus does seem better so far, I came from a Redmi Note 2. I haven’t noticed it killing anything yet.
What I’m saying is that they chose to keep the same size, rather than making them smaller. I don’t think that’s unreasonable, I don’t think there was any consumer clamouring for the phones to get smaller. If you keep the same size and shrink the top and bottom bezels, the screen ratio is going to have to change. It can’t stay at 16:9.
What do you mean?
😀
And that’s fair enough if you genuinely prefer viewing an extra email or two over using a phone one handed. That’s the beauty of android though, you have the choice, however, users are quickly being left without the choice between 16:9 and 18:9, and for all the wrong reasons.
Every one handed mode I’ve used makes the screen smaller in some way, seems like a bad way to deal with too tall a screen to me.
Didn’t say that anywhere, clearly you’re missing the point. Aspect ratio matters for many things, video content being one of the more important of which.
Also, calling people stupid just because you’re missing the point won’t get you far.
To be fair, I would never have bought a Xiaomi phone if the A1 didn’t exist.
I’ve worked for Chinese tech companies (I won’t name names, but this industry is my wheel house)… And I can tell you that the poll was almost certainly rigged with tons of fake votes for MIUI.
And even with the fake votes, MIUI lost! L.O.L
i myself have xiaomi mi4 but have lineage os 14.1(nougat) on it…..cuz i got bored of no new major features…..no nougat upgrade with miui9…..i get weekly updates on lineage os….ui is kind of ok
Just like big “ducks,” it’s the width that’s more important than length. 🤣
I ran MIUI pretty much exclusively on my HTC T-Mobile G2. It was the best rom for that phone, hands down.
Fair enough point, on screen buttons do take up part of the screen, whether it be a 16:9 or an 18:9 phone; however, whether or not it’s an eighth of the height of the screen I’m not so convinced about however. Still though, when viewing 16:9 video content they would disappear anyway, which would be my major concern with something like that.
I used to be skeptical about it but 18:9 or 2:1 is great. It enables you to display more content without making the phone wider, which is the most important thing in how large it feels in the hand. I’m tall and have big hands but I got sick of the size of my Nexus 6P and switching to a narrower phone was such a relief. Wider aspect ratio is better in every way except when displaying 16:9 content but you can still zoom/crop if you don’t like black bars and most movies aren’t 16:9 either. 18:9 and 16:9 aren’t directly comparable when it comes to screen *area* however the former actually gives me more usable screen – mobile phone content is mostly vertical. “You could just scroll more on a shorter screen” is a ridiculous argument. You could then just move the screen closer to your eyes and have a bigger screen as well.
They could make bezeless 16:9 phones but then they would still be limited by screen width in how large the screen can be before it is too wide to hold in the hand comfortably.
Whilst I agree that width is the most important factor for in hand feel, the fact of the matter is that the screens are too tall for the majority of people to comfortably reach the top of, meaning the person needs to use two hands, defeating the point of stopping the phone from becoming any wider in the first place.
Whilst it does give more vertical content, is it really worth it to display an extra email or two in exchange for one handed use? For some, yes, for others, definitely not. I flat out disagree that 18:9 better for everything, as like I’ve already said you need two hands to use them properly if you want to reach the top of the screen.
I don’t think scrolling an extra 1cm than before is that ridiculous personally, especially in exchange for proper one handed use. Moving the screen closer to your eyes is not like suggesting to scroll a tiny bit extra in the name of one handed usability.
As for the width of bezeless 16:9 phones, I don’t have the largest hands in the world, but I currently use a 6.44 inch 16:9 screen, which is 88.9mm wide, it’s a two handed device primarily, however, the 18.5:9 6.3 inch galaxy note 8 is also a device which requires two handed use for me, due to its height, so why on earth would I not just utilise the extra width of 16:9 if I’m going to be using two hands anyway?
I mean surely it would depend on the size of the 16:9 screen, as the buttons wouldn’t need to get bigger and bigger as screen size increases.
You’re getting mixed up between ‘bezelless’ and an 18:9 aspect ratio there, bezeless is small bezels, regardless of the aspect ratio.
I fail to see how it’s a valid concern, on screen buttons have always disappeared when video content is being shown regardless of black bars etc.
The poll was 43% in favor of MIUI….
Except 16:9 is not one handed friendly either. Even on a 5.2″ screen you have to stretch your hand really hard to reach the top of the screen comfortably. Most of the time I do not find it an issue on my S8 anyway. It has easily accessible one handed mode and I never have to reach for the top of the screen to pull down the notification shade, I can just swipe down anywhere on the home screen.
Having used 5.7″ 16:9 and 5.8″ 18.5:9 back and forth for a month, I was far more impressed with the wider aspect ratio screen. Whenever I would switch to it from 16:9, the difference in hand was ridiculous, as if the phone was so much smaller and yet the screen was more usable. When switching back to 5.7″ 16:9, the screen would always feel unnecessarily wide and yet too short vertically. Both phones use on screen buttons which take up screen space and you *really* feel it on 16:9 but not so much on 18.5:9 because there is plenty of vertical space available.
If you carry around a tablet in your hand then yes, I agree it doesn’t really matter. For me, with phones of the size of the iPhone X or the S8, the wider aspect ratio is fantastic.
I never had any trouble on my 5.1 inch galaxy s7 but I do see your point, but you must admit that it’s more friendly than 18:9 for one handed use, yes?
I’ve always found one handed modes to be a bit clunky personally, and would rather not use them.
The thing is, a 5.7 inch 16:9 phone is bigger than even a 5.8 inch 18.5:9 phone when you’re looking at actual screen surface area, so of course the smaller will feel nicer in the hand.
Except I don’t carry round a tablet in my hand, it’s a large phone, call it a phablet if you want. The length of the galaxy note 8 is 162.5mm, while the length of my phone is 174.1mm, that’s not really that much longer, and my phone has much larger bezels too; yet at the same time has a MUCH larger screen.
I can probably agree with you about wider aspect ratios being better on smaller sized phones than bigger ones, yet I’d still prefer the option of bezeless 16:9 alongside the plethora of 18:9 options currently out there, I’m not saying there shouldn’t be any 18:9 phones, I’d just like the options, and 16:9 seems to be quickly being pushed out of the market for no real reason, in my opinion of course.
> The thing is, a 5.7 inch 16:9 phone is bigger than even a 5.8 inch 18.5:9 phone when you’re looking at actual screen surface area, so of course the smaller will feel nicer in the hand.
Yes, the surface is bigger, but it doesn’t really feel that way unless watching videos.
I guess I can see your point with larger phones. I could have switched from a 5.7″ 16:9 to an S8+ but I would just get taller screen and not much improvement in handling the phone. Instead, with the regular S8 I get a screen that is still comparable to 5.7″ 16:9 and yet in a much, much smaller package.
I guess as someone who watches lots of YouTube and cartoons and TV series on my phone I’m prone to noticing the larger screen more than others, I also play a lot of emulators too and the games do tend to be a lot better on a larger 16:9 screen in my experience.
I definitely agree with the switching from 5.7 inch 16:9 to s8+ not being much of an improvement handling wise. I just can’t help but feel like I’m using a phone that’s a similar size to my old galaxy s7 in size when I use an s8, but without any of the benefits I’d actually appreciate from having a larger display.
It’s cool that it’s a better fit for you though, and I’m happy that some people do prefer it, I just want there to be options for those that would prefer a more traditional aspect ratio, as they’re quickly becoming harder to find amongst new releases due to OEMs following the trend…
They’ve paid users who are even ready to dance naked for tshirts and freebies.
#metoo
Yes, I prefer my handheld device to be the same ratio as 720, 1080, and 4K TV’s that most current HD content is already designed for, and has been for years.
I don’t need a handheld device to accurately display cinematic movie’s filmed in 18:9 for 800″ theatre screens.
Xiaomi is the only company delaying unlocking requests. Gpl violations are more common but it doesn’t mean that even those should be tolerated
I quite easily reach the top of my old galaxy s7 with one hand, and that had a 5.1 inch 16:9 display with bezels.
Any source for Amazon and Netflix producing content in 18:9? The only aspect ratios I’ve seen them use are 16:9 and 21:9.
Realistically speaking though, the content that is being made in wider ratios are films, which people don’t tend to watch as much as TV shows etc on their phones.
Or you know.. actual women.
I’ve danced naked for less.
-Sent from my Redmi Note 4
That stopped being an issue for me after MIUI9. Lemme know if it got better for you too!
I can’t think of another brand with a Rom that’s substantially different from “vanilla Android” who would even dare post such a poll on their Twitter.
Bad losers, this is very dirty, and MIUI is literally a shit.
And this reminds them what strategy they should follow.
Android One >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MIUI.
MIUI fans exist, we are just dwarfed here on Reddit by the screaming masses that for the most part haven’t even touched it before passing judgement, some even displaying casual racism towards Asian companies in general.
The solution: less size of screen. +5,5″ is excesive for many people, one phone that you can’t use with one hand is a trash. And more size not mean better experience.
You can get a phone with 5,5″ screen and standart bezels, and you probably can’t touch the other side of the screen with only one hand. Even with big hands.
False, Netflix’s series and many movies (not all) for example are streamed in 16:9. Only exist something movies are in another ratios, but isn’t the standart in streaming/BD and your beautifull 18:9 screen probably show black bars in the rest 99,9% of video content.
Remember, not only movies are video content. YouTube, series, TV shows, documentary, amateur videos… The transition from 16:9 to 18:9 will not be the same regarding to 4:3 to 16:9.
I have a Mi A1 and my *womanly* hands have yet to have a problem with it. some dudes also have small hands, other people just prefer smaller phones, literally no need to bring gender into this.
Look up the word “literally”.
Most people don’t give a fuck about video content. They want to scroll easier on their meme page.
This is so Orwellian you may think it can’t happen in the real world (maybe in SG but definitely not in any first world country)
I’m surprised MIUI was so high
I was expecting 20% or less
Same here
My bootloader was unlocked (pretty much) instantaenously when I requested it a few months ago, but it isn’t a new/current model, so maybe that was the reason?
Lol, Android UI is very clear & faster and MIUI is also good. Android UI and MIUI trying to solve the issues, but MIUI always work as per user’s requirements.
funny
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOL backfired right back at them. Made my day
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/7rvjbx/mi_globe_vs_eu_roms/
It’s 15 days now. Not so much funny anymore.
I don’t have a 5 or a 5 plus fortunately
To be fair, Xiaomi hardware is hard to beat in value.
And your 2nd statement is quite true.
