Hi, I recently got a Redmi SE 8.7 for use mostly for video calling to replace my Meta Portal which is now basically unusable.
It’s honestly a nice little tablet for the price but I have run into an issue.
When I make video calls – the main thing I got the tablet for – if the tablet is on the stand or even in the snap on case that I purchased with it from mi.com there is an echo. This is making it really hard for my boyfriend to hear me on call.

I assume it’s to do with the microphone on the bottom catching some of the sound coming from the rear speaker or the sound reflecting back.

I have gone into settings and changed it to mono audio and put it to left 100% which seems to disable the bottom speaker, but ONLY for media and NOT for video calls. Which is beyond frustrating

Can anyone help with a way to either reduce the echo or disable the bottom speaker for calls too.
