Amoled + redmi = happy burnt screen replacements
u/savevideo
i have a redmi note 7 and i already have image retention.
edit: i don’t know why i’m getting downvoted.
[this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/hy7nbr/issue_with_my_redmi_note_7_screen/) is a post about the problem
Xiaomi is taking the world….. =)
Are Redmi amoleds bad or what? Can you please provide more.context?
Are any xiaomi phones compatible with Verizon?
Well..they don’t use amoled
K40. And some other phones have that I think.
I think that’s the new design xiaomi will use this year, the mi 11 design
Set your display color to standard. It worked for me.
only thing we can do is wait for the reviews, tbh I’m prefer amoled over LCD 90/120 hz
most likely yes
they already did, the phone will be presented officially on march 4th, you can see the sensor in the video tho
amoled burn only happens when you always max your brightness + AOD in active all the time. and you cant even set xiaomi’s AOD to always active. users of redmi 10x and k30u dont even have that kind of problem (not of im aware of they have a group for specific brand and the always problems like how to install gms)
K30U user here amoled+120hz of redmi is good and you dont even feel battery drain they always talk about when you have high refresh rate screen (already fixed 2 patch ago)
Isn’t that LCD?
10 Pro would have 108MP (SAMSUNG) Sensor
No, they sometimes do
My Mi Note 10 Lite has a curved AMOLED screen, and I bought that phone for like 250€ second hand as good as new
Bullshit. My Redmi K20 has been in use for 1.5 years, no sign of amoled burn in whatsoever.
You have 2 chances to win this in the aliexpress app in the freebies section..
I heard that this phone is equiped with the snapdragon 732g. You know, the same processor in the poco x3 with no 5g capability 🤦♀️
Does anyone know how to copy a picture in my clipboard???
Redmi and Mi are separate sub-brands of Xiaomi. Redmi is the cheaper of the two. Historically Redmi haven’t used AMOLED displays, but it looks like that’s changing!
They will eventually, tho. In the past IPS was reserved for higher end phones. Now it’s safe to say all cheap phones feature IPS (or equivalent) displays. AMOLED has been around for a while now and it’s getting cheaper to produce basic AMOLED, with 120hz displays now demanding a premium. 60hz AMOLED on a cheap phone in 2021 sounds about right.
I’ve literally never had burn in on an AMOLED display, nor have I known anyone who has. So, I highly doubt this will be an issue.
Random place to ask this question. lol. Where did you copy the picture from? Can you go back to the original and long press to save/download?
Considering its supposed to be a budget device a side (or rear) mounted scanner sounds about right
tbf the mi note 10 is priced like a redmi phone, they released it under the Mi brand because of the Mi Note 10 being priced above Redmi phones
Although I picked mine up in a sale (£370), the Mi Note 10 was originally priced just below £500 in the UK. My Redmi Note 8T cost £140 on sale and £179 at full price. I wouldn’t say they had a similar price point.
Stereo speakers placed on diagonally opposing sides, means that if you play a game, either way you hold a phone in landscape orientation, you’ll be covering one speaker.
You mean a million people have 2 chances to win it? which means I personally have 2/1.000.000 chances of winning it 😉
Well if we’re technical about it you actualy get 2 separate entries and as of yesterday for each entry there were 2 phones available and about 38000 applicants on one and for the other about 13000. Today things are probably a bit different.. It’s a Longshot but at least it won’t make you annoy your friends in any way when entering..
Yeah, just hopefully they’ll listen and put amoled in their upcoming midranges
Oh wait I’m an idiot
Meant to say Mi Note 10 Lite lmao
Its around the price of high end redmi phones
That’s android 12 feature
Thanks… It’s worth a shot.
been using the mi a3 for over a year and half, no screen burn ins, this phone, if I remember correctly was at the time the cheapest xiaomi phone with an AMOLED display… so I have no idea wtf you’re smoking
I don’t think it is because when I used to have a Samsung phone I could do it
I don’t think u understood the question. I’m trying to copy a photo into my clipboard not my phone. So a picture i have in my phone to my clipboard
It still hasn’t been released, so everything you hear about it may be wrong.
You will need to print it and attach it to your clipboard with the clip
[Yeah about that ](https://twitter.com/sisodiyams89/status/1365204797415038981?s=19)
yes it is, and lcd have that kind of problem. do some research.
Note 10 has been on the market since last year l, I think you meant Mi 11 or note 10t. There are both basically he same model but with different camera layouts, one is made to be sell only in China (but it always end up all over the world).
There are a lot o picture of both models I just mention on google.
PS: I work at a Official Xiaomi Distributor Company.
I really don’t understand why are you on this subreddit then, and btw xiaomi cellphones had been using amoled displays a few years now, the company where I work at had sell at least a couple hundred thousand units and never had a complain about the display.
The mi 10 has it on the side
Why does the almost 2 year old Note 8 Pro have thinner bezels than all these new lower midrange offerings from Xiaomi? Thick, asymmetrical bezels make a device look cheap.
What are my thoughts?
Another phone with a hole in the screen. Good bye!
*p.s. Yes, a Xiaomi Mi 9T owner here.*
That hole punch is horrible
That chin 😖
It does not mean that. But it sure does not mean everybody will have issues either.
Xiaomi anybody listens? FIX the horrible Mi Box 3 and S update.
For third month the devices need restart every time they wake up from sleep for audio and video playback.
Really? I actually really like the miui 12 UI on my note 9
It doesn’t matter if it’s redmi or realme the panels are made by samsung iirc.
this phone is the REDMI note 10, the evolution of the redmi note 9 series (note 9, 9s, 9 pro) will be presented on march 4th, the one you are saying is MI note 10, Redmi and Mi are different
maybe its time to upgrade my redmi note 5 pro. any suggestions? i want a good camera
Yeah this makes more sense.
why they don’t get rid of that stupid 1cm large chin?
You’re not the only one. Xiaomi’s twitter had a poll where most users picked amoled instead of 120hz IPS. The post was quickly deleted.
Absolutely not. Verizon/Sprint are formerly CDMA carriers which use different network bands which are rarely supported outside of N.A.. Almost all Xiaomi phones do not support 700Mhz bands so poor network support for AT&T/Tmobile.
No. See my explanation below.
Fair enough. Galaxy S2 is ancient in tech terms, tho. With much earlier display technology. I’ve got two 5 year old S7s and both of their displays are fine. I wouldn’t count on AMOLED burn being an issue.
MS paint
I have used Note 3,3s prime,note 5 pro,note 7 pro. I never had problem with screen.
they favored their exlcusive release in china to have better specs, better price and better option thats why i prefer china rom/release than global release lol. feels like lineageos if you debloated all china apps
With the Chinese rom there is alot of embedded services which still do alot of network activity with Chinese servers even after debloating. Thats probably why Xiaomi.eu still communicates with Chinese servers despite being debloated. And the new Chinese rom now doesn’t support GMS anymore I believe.
you guys think too much about china spying things conspiracy. already tested it way back in 2015
using xperia z official and lineage if their are background activity specially network traffic
as i say their are large margin ofc like 27% google keep syncing and ads hidden loading in lineage almost 0 (gapps pico version)
tried it using xiaomi global (redmi 8) vs my cn rom (k30u) debloated (except getapps always bootloop if i debloat getapps)
the global seriously have networking load of ads always everytime the screen open while cn rom doesnt (xiaomi cloud deactivated)
and some of cn version of gallery share me file manager dont even have ads like the global have.
some of native apps dont even work in background (mi pay
mi assistant (can be debloated)
unless you dont open it and agree to agreement warnings
if i remember they successfully flash gms to 12.5 beta i think might work or will have a modded version just like huawei force gms install.
also more stable that global.
That’s what the person above me was implying.
You are obviously talking about note 9 also know as 10X in some region
My Redmi Note 8T supports 700mhz
Chine chinese loves their chines, dont they
