My clear Mi 9T. It’s addicting to watch it.

The Mi 9T Pro is the best phone i’ve ever had. 3 years old and still a BEAST. No lag, battery still good, amazing screen with no notch or punchhole and good cameras. I’m going to miss it when I change in a couple of years.
True, even the non-pro version doesn’t have any lag, i just love it and i plan to keep it until the under display camera will be available in more phones. ( I know about the mix 4 )
hot moves right there
Indeed, my battery is currently at 68% health.
The way it is erecting is disturbing while so satisfying.
Insert Beni Benassi – Satisfaction audio. I should have used that for audio background lol
Redmi K20 Pro gang… ✨🎈
Same.. it’s op.. our camera can compete with latest phones..
Mi 9T gang!!!
I always appreciate how the pop up camera allows an uninterrupted screen, no notch and no punch hole.
which rom are u using?
Yeah, i have the regular version too and its still amazing. But the software is not so good tho, idk what about you but i still haven’t got miui 12.5 and the current version got so many bugs and no fixes for them. For example the messenger bubbles are so buggy that i cant even use it.
I miss my 9t. Need a 5g phone that is similar/upgrade around the same price range. Any suggestions
Same problem. I’m not sure I want to change it myself as it seems quite complicated. On the other hand buying a new phone makes completely no sense being the phone still snappy and fine to use.
“addicting” isn’t a word, you mean “addictive”.
Okay thanks, english is not my primary language.
[Addicting](https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/20327/whats-the-difference-between-addictive-and-addicting/20880) exists, but in this context it’s not correct.
I seriously wanted to make the back of my old redmi note 7 clear just like this. It makes the phone sooo much cooler compared to the stock back panel.
I still have the thought of making my new 11 lite 5G ne clear on the back, even if it requires a bit of tinkering and a warranty void, cause god damn it looks so cool.
Though, I’m not really a fan of taking the back panel off, loosing the little water-resistance the phone once had. I know that you can get the exact same glue-like-silicon that apple uses for iPhone from eBay, but that stuff isn’t available for most androids. So either order a custom one, or use double sided tape.
EDIT: got myself a bit of education, 0 IQ moment right here, smh. After a quick google, I realized that most of the aftermarket back-panels that are clear come with a pre-applied adhesive.

How did you do this? I’d love to try this
I want to do this with my Poco f2 pro
Sad to see the sliding mechanism phase out so soon. It’s still a better option to Under Display Camera at the moment, should have been retained until UDC is fully developed and able to replace it.
Yeah – I think of the 9T Pro as the platonic ideal of 4G phones – premium SoC, full no notch/punchole screen, big battery, low price. Basically after this 5G was the only possible upgrade (okay maybe waterproofing – but that wouldn’t work with the pop up)
I feel the same. I love this phone so much. Also 3+ years old. No issue at all.
My 9t died of water damage, and I was so sad. Got a mi 11 which is a way better phone, but it doesn’t have the same charm as the mi 9t/k20
The 11t or 11 lite is great, but maybe wait for the 12 variants as they are right around the corner
It’s just a sticker on the underside of the glass that you can peel/scrape off if you remove the back
Wished I bought this instead.
Just sold mine a few days ago and replaced it with the 11T Pro. Only thing i truly miss is that front camera.
Cant help but wonder why they died out so fast.
Remove the camera and replace it as a dildo to make it a sex toy (after you buy another one)
Gotta agree the Mi 9T is awesome, and my daughter loves it to death even after 3 years. She has the non-pro version. But I have a question, we have noticed MANY providers not offering service for this phone, she had to switch from ST to Mint (btw Mint is great so far) but since I see many of you still have your Mi 9T – who do you guys currently use (if in United States)? We looked up all the major carriers with no luck… Thanks – and great lil vid btw, that pop up is cool.
Please don’t downvote this person. He/she corrected someone without being condescending.
It is sad to see consumers preferring a notch or punch hole in their screen over a full screen experience.
I simply can’t fathom why.
I’m using an old build of Xtended (5.0) for a year now, has some bugs but nothing big. Standby battery usage is how MIUI’s Standby should be.
I miss MIUI 10 tho, ignoring the standby usage of couse.
Lol
They said that the ” popup mechanism ” takes a lot of space inside. Still, they had space to fit all the features, a good battery and a headphone jack.
Indeed, Xiaomi did an amazing job with mi9t / k20
I followed this [video.](https://youtu.be/Sd6KpX5MRtI) You need to cut that plastic too, for the mechanism to be revealed.
I think it’s the same. (https://youtu.be/Sd6KpX5MRtI)
And indestructible
What? SIM cards wirk in any phone, provider has no say there
Same, gonna wait until under display cameras become mainstream. Until then, Mi 9T baby. 😁
Probably has to do with fear of the mechanism failing.
Mi 9T is amazing!
3 years and the mechanism still works. Even if it breaks, it’s 5$ on Aliexpress and honeslty the phone is so easy to repair, it’s like a lego.
Testify. Mine had fallen on kitchen tiles two times (in thin OEM protecting case) and on concrete pavement and not a scratch or glitch.
Most of my full screen experiences have notch borders anyway. It’s a travesty.
ye only issue i have is in need to remove its case when taking selfies else the bottom part comes bit blurred
is there a convenient way for anyone to get this see-through back ?
Mine has a bit of noticable lag when Going dual screen or opening images, bought it in early 2020 but overall still a really robust phone
Yeah, moving parts fail quicker is what they say.
However, these same people will be changing phone every 1 or 2 years.
I feel you bro. I just switched from my Note 3 Pro to a Poco F2 PRO middle of last year.
The Note 3 Pro was very good for its price and lasts me quite long. However the punch hole really triggers me.
I’m just gonna take this opportunity to shill for chargie.org and hide behind the environmental moral highground
You can get transparent back for mi9t / k20 from Aliexpress. There is also a back with blue tint.
All is great but the pop up camera died a couple of months ago. Hope service center repairs it without formatting the phone.
Yeah I too have the non-pro version and it still handles everything I throw at it.
My suggestion to everyone is install Gcam and you’ll see a huge huge leap in selfies and night mode.
Definitely. If they did it twice ( my brother owns the K30 Ultra that does the same thing) the could have definitely do it again but oh well.
Gave the one plus 9t to my son so I could get a OnePlus 7 pro for pretty much all these reasons plus easy moddings
Btw everyone here is talking about Xiaomi 9t not oneplus
You could try Picsel Experience (Pixel Experience stopped official support a few months ago so it’s the next best thing), it’s pretty bug-free even on the Android 12 version I’m rocking right now, and it totally transformed my Mi 9T!
I enjoy it so much more now than when I had MIUI. I regret some UI things from Android 11 but the 12 also runs rock solid! It may not be for everyone but I got tired of MIUI and wanted a stock experience I could customize a bit, and I couldn’t go back now.
I will try it! Thanks!
Mine falled on the floor like 3weeks ago and the repair shop have issue to repair it, have returned it 3 times already there..
