A few months late but maybe by that time they’ll have decent ROMs in place.
That being said in many places in EU the S10e can be bought for under 500 EUR and 9 out of 10 ordinary consumers would rather chose de S10e vs a somehow similar Xiaomi.
Is that an official discord? Who leaked it?

MI9 got the ugly dot on the forehead tho
It’s not really a leak, some shops already had it in pre-order. I was in contact with Xiaomi officials today and they confirmed the following:
Official launch on the 20th, sale on 26th.
Yeah, why would I get this when I can wait for the 955+ Ultra on the Mi 10T Pro
I JUST BOUGHT A MI 9 GOD DAMN IT I WANTED A K20 PRO BUT THAT WOULDNT HAVE WORKED HERE IN GERMANY ANS NOW THE MI 9T PRO IS RELEASED
What about returning it?
Hey, I know that server.
This is the Dutch Discord server ‘Xiaomi Netherlands’, I’ve made the server about 2 months ago and stumbled upon this post on accident.
No, the server is not official, the photo got shared by a person in China
https://discord.gg/cuavtf9
And when 855+ is about to be released 865 appears then you wait again right?
S10e not a bad phone, but I still think you get more features with the mi 9t pro. Also to be honest s10e SOT probably rather worrying
I was holding off on buying the Mi 9T until the end of the month if there was no sign of the Pro launch! Also I go on holiday a week after, so perfect timing Xiaomi!
any news on a3 pro tho :c
i literally just got the mi 9. will this be better than mi9? is this their new flagship? im confused
Compared to the K20 Pro, which is the Chinese Mi 9T Pro, the Mi 9 has better telephoto and wide angle lens hardware, wireless charging, and to some the notch is better than a pop-up. The K20 Pro should have a bigger battery though, as well as that all-screen display. Personally I prefer the Mi 9, I like being able to face unlock and the extra oomph from my camera
Would imagine it depends where you purchase it and the retailers returns policy.
I see… My battery is pretty good tbh dont see any problems till now. I’m not sure how i feel abt the all screen display.. It looks nice but i prefer the notch.
Same, battery since switching to Xiaomi.eu ROM has been spectacular and the notch really looks fine imo. The only reason the K20 Pro interested me was because initially it was rumored to cost less than the Mi 9 but now apparently it’s gonna cost a bit more
Any one know if the specs, specifically the band support, on GSM Arena are 100% confirmed? https://m.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_9t_pro-9791.php
Price drop on the 9T?
SERIOUSLY IT BARELY JUST SHIPPED
EDIT: Oh the 9T gets better battery life and I never game, so eh.
in china only, even reseller still hasnt drop
OMG
So that means I could get it before the end of August? That’s nice.
You can sell it
The S10 e has an IP rating and wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, and the front camera is much better quality. My only issue with it is that where I live it’s not even cheap and that the gestures and almost everything else about one UI is worse than MIUI
Like when I finally decide to buy the Mi 9T instead they announce the Pro one. But I don’t mind, the normal one is amazing
Oof, I just bought my 9t. Still very happy with it though
Correct
I went on a mi store yesterday to check if they had any info on the mi 9t pro. First they told me no. Then they told me like the entire spec sheet and that it will have wireless charging
Yup. The 9T is so new you won’t make much of a loss. Sure, it sucks but so be it.
Cool! I thought it was just going to be the redmi k20 pro in Europe.
Nope. From what can be seen roughly everywhere, k20 pro is cheaper than mi 9t pro and mi 9t pro will be stuck at 128gb whereas k20 pro could have 256gb. And, according to that person at the mi store, mi 9t pro will have wireless charging.
the mi9 is better in any way. don’t go with the pop up mechanism. the mi9 has also better camera and fast wireless charging. the headphones port on the k20 Pro is just meh so you might as well go with 20 Dollar wireless airdots basic. just my opinion as a mi9 user.
Order it online then EU regulation says you can return it within 14 days
i just bought a mi 9t for no reason..
Wtf Wireless charging? Pretty sure thats not possible with the pop up camera mechanism, otherwise OP7 Pro and Vivo nex would have had it tooo
But i might be wrong
Heck, they’d make under foldable phones, under screen camera and 108Mpx camera. Why not wireless with pop up camera.
But I too was confused when she told me that. She was nearly saying it will be a mi 9 with a cheaper camera and a better battery
I think because the Qi charging might heat up the metal and damage components, since thats quite a lot of metal on the mechanism
But who knows… Might work with another design/material
How is this Xiaomi’s fault? There’ll always be someone who wanted to buy X but bought Y instead. If they announced it last week another schmuck would show up saying the same thing.
Interesting. I feel the mi9t Pro is far better, and I’d never get a mi 9. Lower battery, notch…
Guess it’s a matter of opinion.
Yeah, I guess that’s true. It’s just that I have the Pocophone now and it’s the mental regret of going down a processor tier, but I’m sure I won’t even notice.
on paper the k20 Pro/ mi9t has better battery but I feel that the optimisation is better on mi9. and the headphone jack is meh at least. I had a lg g7 and a Galaxy s8 before my mi9 and had some good pair of headphones and when I plugged them in on a k20 Pro of a friend sounds muffled and quiet. with the equaliser and all it was a bit better but I can’t say that the output deserves a mention. the cameras are better in the idea that you have gcam easy installation and the stock camera app is better in any way in r Al life. better hdr and speed of process. and one of my preference is that the mi9 is slimmer and rounded. feels better. the processor is the same and the ram is the same but I think that mi9 has better optimization and a better construction. if you think you can go with the pop up selfie camera go for the mi9t if you really hate the notch.
and one last thing… if a phone has bad software optimization is a failure. in real life not even once had a app crash (maybeeeeee one time when it was too hot the camera won’t open at first try after filming in 4k). the Bluetooth connectivity is stellar, dual GPS is so quick and stable. this little things makes for me the experience great not the paper specs. hope you buy what is best for you.
Finally! Very excited for this phone. It seems to have amazing community support and several custom ROMs already exist. It also has superb battery life and a notchless display.
For more info about unlocking the bootloader, installing TWRP and flashing custom ROMs, see [https://www.reddit.com/r/Mi9T/comments/cp2dj8/stepbystep\_guide\_to\_unlock\_bootloader\_and\_flash/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Mi9T/comments/cp2dj8/stepbystep_guide_to_unlock_bootloader_and_flash/)
This device also has its own subreddit: r/Mi9T
As a person who prefers custom ROMs and great battery life, I will buy the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro instead. However, the average consumer might indeed just buy the Samsung S10e.
The Mi 9 has really bad battery life, whereas the Mi 9T has excellent battery life.
Nonsense. All reviewers claim superior battery life on the Mi 9T.
I do one full day without management. I’m happy with it.
Yes, I was looking forward to the Mi9T Pro myself but I will probably keep the Poco F1 for quite some time since I really like the IR face unlock and I don’t seem to be bothered at all by the notch.
maybe but I don’t trust a “review” after a couple of days. I only went with review after a couple of months after you install apps and services. I speak from my own experience
That isn’t true I can use my Mi 9 with moderate to heavy usage 2 days long
Then you might be able to do 3+ days on the Mi 9T Pro
Thanks for bringing me this into attention, but why do you claim the 9T is so badly optimized? My (superficial) google searches gave me nothing.
> hope you buy what is best for you.
Should be an year until I buy a better phone. My Note 4 is serving me well.
in the brief time I used the k20 Pro the software was laggy ish compared side by side with mi9. I mean the transitions in the UI jitter sometimes, the wallpapers turned half black when swiped for recent apps (the problem is not there of you use buttons not gestures), camera UI is slower when transitions from normal to wide and so on, the pop up selfie that I hate so much is slow therefore face unlock is much slower than the fp sensor that is a bit slower than mi9, same network and slower internet speeds on 4g. this things are just minor but day to day kinda bugs me when I know I can use a better phone, you know?
I can find the mi 9t for 250€ now, is it worth waiting for a bigger price drop?
ikr
I’m so happy there’s such a hype for Mi9t, because now the prices of mi9 drop so drastically I will finally manage to buy it 😀
How is your experience with it so far
I’m planning on getting the mi 9 in a few days
But kinda of worried about the battery
And like every pro edition, no One Will do any custom rom
ck you i uust boutth 9t
> Do you use the Poco for gaming?
Hm no, I don’t really, I just like how snappy everything is. I guess the 9T is going to be great too.
250€ is an amazing price already, but maybe in a month it can go down to 230-240, but I personally would buy it at 250.
No that’s not related. Op doesn’t think that wireless charging is fast enough so that’s why they don’t implement it now
Yes. If you don’t game, the MI 9t is a no brainer
14 days if you’re in the EU, you can return for any reason even if you’ve opened the box and used it.
Same dude but I bought it last week..
To be honest mi 9 is still a great phone and that notch isn’t that bad.
Are you talking about MI 9t or redmi k20 pro? Because in MI 9t is SD730 so it’s not surprising that it lasts longer than phone with a SD855. Btw I just got mi 9 and the battery is fine I can’t complain.
I had a mi9 for two months till it got stollen so i bought a mi9t. Not gaming so havent felt the difference. I thought the thickness would be a problem but its not. I never used wireless charging. Not seeing much of a difference without dual gps. Miss the ir a bit . The camera is same except for the wide angle and telephoto wich i think i never used. I also dont need 3.5 i use bluetooth. The notch its the thing i miss the most cause of the face unlock. The fingerprint is better on the 9t and also here the notifications are beeing shown from the 1st day as opposed to the mi9. And i left the most important spec of the mi9t for the end : the battery is waaaaaay better 5 hours sot vs 7-8 hours. Same usage but i feel as it is not gonna let me down. Dont listen to the review that say mi9 has good battery optimisation. I never game and is the battery of an iphone. The mi9t is the king here and all because of the battery
I bought the K20 pro and flashed it with a ROM from xiaomi.eu. I’m not a heavy but a moderate user and am able to make the phone last two days before I have to charge it. Battery life is excellent.
So you don’t have either phone but you know that the mi9 í better than the mi9t?
where can you find it for 250 €?
