“Long press home button” shortcut doesn’t work anymore

I recently bought a Redmi Note 12pro 5g (Ruby). It currently has Miui 14.0.12 on it.
**The Problem:** I can’t use the “long press home button” shortcut anymore. It can’t launch google assistant or do any other of the functions, so it’s not the assistant app that’s the problem.

Solution: well, after a few days I couldn’t fix the problem but the app “navigation bar for android” offers a workaround
