Is my Xiaomi Pad 6 on the right ROM? Will I get updates?

I’m in the US and I bought the device on Amazon.

There was a sticker on the back indicating it was manufactured in Beijing, China.

The current OS is MIUI Pad Global 14.0.8, It’s on the Sept 2023 security patch.

The box was sealed but I’m not 100 percent if this was originally on the China ROM and was flashed with a global ROM.

Is the ROM I am on official? Is there a different ROM I should be on?

I contacted Xiaomi who told me the device should get 5 years security updates, 3 android updates. But they couldn’t confirm form my particular device because I didn’t buy it from them (strange).

I want to be sure I’m on the correct ROM which will get updates. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Xiaomi doesn’t have an official outlet for the US market like smartphones and tablets I believe. Sounds normal for the device to have global ROM and being manufactured in China. Everything you said sounds normal, however buying through an untrusted reseller could always have the risk of the device being tampered with, and nobody can guarantee otherwise.
