I just want to say that I am very satisfied with Xiaomi. I have a Mi 10 lite right now and I really enjoy it, I previously had a Mi 8 and it was also very enjoyable I also had several of the Mi bands, I really recommend those.

Well i actually can’t say a bad word about their products. Half the price of their competitors also.
I agree, I’m still on my Mi 8 and loving it, been almost 2 years. Also have the Mi Band 4, which works great too. 👌
I have many Xiaomi devices in my house XD
Same here – I must have bought 20 Xiaomi phones for self, friends and family. I have Xiaomi smart home stuff and a number of other things. They’re all good.
I see people complaining about phone update issues and phone adverts and I have no idea what they are talking about!
I love the products but the support is a different story.
Do you mind some of their preinstalled apps? I consider getting a Xiaomi device for my parents but im kinda worried because of their bloatware.
Got the Mi10T Pro 5G on black Friday with the Mi Band 5 for £439 and couldn’t be happier. MIUI is not my cup of tea but yh it’s not as bad as people say it is. It’s an acquired taste lol
Battery life, the 144hz display Snapdragon 865, VoWifi which was a suprise as wasn’t expecting it to work.
Now on November security update and again, insane battery performance. Couldn’t be happier.
Ye, you have one of the best Xiaomi phones.
Tbh you can pretty much debloat and remove all the ads from the phone. its a hassle but the price you are paying for such hardware makes it worth it .
Plus you can always install custom roms 😀
Most of the preinstalled apps are quite useful actually, I especially think the calculator is very useful. The rest of the preinstalled apps are the same as every other phone.
Same. I use mi 8 se and loving it. Still doing good even without case. Falls hard multiple times but still ok. The build quality is very good for xiaomi product.
However, its about time to buy newer phone. 64gb cant catch up nowaday. Need to clear memories every now and then.
Im eyeing for mi10t pro 5g. Hopefully it still maintain the quality although its using fps screen.
It can be removed with some software. And some of them can even be uninstalled normally. If too clutter for your eyes, just put all of the un needed apps in one folder. Works for me
Ye, I had a Mi 8 too but mine fell flat on the screen from about 3 meters and then the screen stopped working. But I can agree that I dropped it several times before and it didn’t even get a scratch.
Yeah. However, miui is not for everyone tho. But for me, its the best and most comfortable. I used samsung and apple once before switching to xiaomi. Never looked back since.
I like Xiaomi a lot, but I really am not a fan of the software. In my opinion they should have continued the Mi A series which has this sweet combination of Mi hardware and Google software.
As much as I despise Global MIUI, my Redmi Note 9 performs like a king for being just $180 + taxes when I bought it. The shots I’ve taken with this camera + GCam are mindblowing and the phone never stutters when performing normal tasks. The screen is gorgeous and the phone looks absoutely beautiful too.
Ive got the Mi 8, how is the Mi 10 lite in comparison with Mi 8 regarding speed/camera?
I just bought a Redmi 9 now i’m waiting for it to get here. I’m hoping it’ll be a decent upgrade over my Nexus 6.
Taking the price into account – nobody makes better budget phones. And no, iphone 12 mini is not a budget phone
Nice to hear. Could you possibly tell me if it’s possible to put extra storage on it? I can’t find the answer on the net because they say sometimes yes and sometimes no…so I don’t know for sure.
Ty in advance 😉
I’ll just make a list of the things that the mi 10 lite has better.
-longer battery life: on my Mi 8 I could last about the e ntire day with battery saver mode on, compared with my mi 10 lite I can last the entire day even around 20 percent left.
-screen: The screen is much bigger on the mi 10 lite, but I don’t really think this is very important.
-Lots of other features like the app drawer, there are also 2 very cool backgrounds, one of the earth and one of mars. Its like a live background but it changes on every different home screen.
-Finally the camera, From my opinion the camera quality of the mi 10 lite is better but it’s kinda hard to focus.
Ok I can’t really explain all of them but there are a lot more.
😆
I can agree on that.
You’ll have to used to the software but you’ll be surprised 😄
I am on my second Xiaomi phone and my next phone is definitely going to be of the same brand. My 2 year old Redmi S2 4GB RAM model still works fine with MIUI 12.
Basically we all like Xiaomi cheap hardware but dislike their shitty software.
So everyone should just get a Xiaomi and immediately install a custom OS and job done. You get the best of both worlds. I advise anyone frustrated with their software to learn how to do this, its worth it.
It doesn’t have expandable storage unfortunately but I have 256GB edition with 8GB RAM
Nice!
Same. I have a Redmi Note 4 which still hasn’t given me up after 3 years of heavy use.
Nice!
Thanks for the info. I even consider installing a custom room but will see.
I’m the same, got hooked up into Xiaomi since my first Xiaomi device Redmi note 2 … and now have 5 different Xiaomi phones, 1 tablet, Amazfit Bip, Amazfit Pace, Haylou Solar watches and had Mi Band 1 & 1s in the past, just love everything about their devices.
Mi9 user here. Recently the software became kinda buggy and it tends to freeze relatively often, but I still think it’a great phone, probably even the best one I’ve owned so far. And I heard that new MIUI update is on the way, so the bugs will probably be solved.
I really like the MIUI interface though LOLO, I think I’m the only one tbh
It’s not really about interface much, those are preferences. Even though its far from AOSP Android, which I prefer better.
It’s about bugs and unstable software. Aggressive ram management, push notifications having problems with MIUi always. It’s not stable enough. Went into bootloop 2 times for me.
Also apps like Security. It has every privacy invading permission like sms, contacts, phone, gallery etc and you can’t disable it. Also it uses cleanmaster tool in it which was banned on playstore for selling data.
The phone sends data all the time to chinese and other servers. Constantly. You can also check what exactly it sends and block it via Blokada app.
MIUI is a privacy nightmare.
Yes but, if you don’t have anything to hide it doesn’t matter to me. Yes they are chinese but that doesn’t mean they instantly sell your data. The security of course needs all the permissions otherwise is wouldn’t be able to detect the risk.
I don’t have anything to hide but I don’t have anything to give.
That’s false.
Best phone ive ever had. Ive had flagships for 10 years. mi9t
Yes but it doesn’t matter if they know where your mom lives for example it’s not like they are gonna track her down.
If you don’t see the problem in that then there really is no point in me discussing this with you.
Yes, true lmao
Mi band 4 is just amazing , don’t bother “upgrading” to the band 5 it’s nowhere near as good in my opinion
Xiaomi is awesome. Just make sure to install a custom ROM like xiaomi.eu that enhances features, does away with Chinese bloatware and stops the device from sending your data to China.
As a (tiny) shareholder, I approve this message
I just picked up the mi 10 lite 5g today after 3.5 years with the galaxy s8+.. I absolutely love this thing! The screen and overall performance after I’ve loaded all of my apps on it is actually insane! Time will tell with regards to the camera and battery life, but so far so good.
I have mi10 t 5g… Version and bought it for 450$ i mean u get 865 Snapdragon 144 hertz display fast charge good camera .. what else can u ask for …4 time less price than an iphone top version…and about same performance… Xiaomi is already selling like hot cake in my country
How are you liking the Mi 10 Ultra so far besides that one caveat?
I’ve been rocking the Redmi Note 5 for years and still love it. Haven’t really had a reason to stop using it.
Why u not install xiaomi eu? Mi10 ultra Xiaomieu alreafy available
Not everyone love custom rom.. im using custom rom but easily get bored and going back to miui 😅
Xiaomi dont use cleanmaster apps anymore..
I have KZ ZSN PRO X and Tws Predator Qcc010 as daily driver..
Apart from the privacy matter, the bugs are really tough in my experience. I have Xiaomi phones since 2017 and damn, I can’t remember a single update not having any major bug. Due to their last “entry” I can’t use my camera anymore. It really sucks.
After using their OS for all this time, I’m really considering switching to a custom rom (lineage os? Not really sure yet). I’m just concerned about not being able to use google pay & banking apps once unlocked the bootloader.
Edit: spelling
I know right?
I personally use a fold cover because with my luck I always drop it on the screen.
In my country most people have never heard of Xiaomi, I hope they will.
It just has some more features, but they are overall the same.
Yeah they good just the size of their phone is quite big. If they made smaller ones that would be great but I understand why they have to and they market demands it as well.
i don’t know about google pay I don’t use it. You can ask around about that.
Camera is fine but I’ve been using a gcam ever since I was on MIUI, so I still use a gcam.
Fingerprint is absolutely the same.
Have the Redmi Note 5, for over 4 years. Absolutely stunning in every regard, great camera too.
I like the big phones when gaming, I always think I am lucky that I have a big phone when I see my friend with a iphone 6
>Yes, you have to wait a certain amount of time, before unlocking your bootloader, but I don’t mind, if it means stopping vendors putting malware in your phone.
So many people bitch about this it’s fucking unreal. There’s a good reason that benefits the Xaiomi hardware ecosystem, So, you have to wait a little, fucking deal with it.
It’s more than some other manufacturers give you.
Yep I love Xiaomi products, i’ve had 3 phones now, all excellent. I have a robot vacuum, a smartwatch, a fitness band, a kids smart watch, wireless security camera, doorbell, electric razor even a few things like pens, car phone chargers. even a pair of jeans lol
The quality is really good and great value always.
I use Google pay and it works better on the Xiaomi phones I have than on the LG phones I had before.
Ye I had headphones they broke after 4 weeks, they were cheap though.
Just changed from Sony xperia 5 to poco x3 nfc. Certainly this phone made my life much easier and less stressful in many aspects!
Much better experience with the poco for an incredible price. Thumbs up!
No only on the older versions.
I also used RN4 for 3 years. Just upgraded to Poco F2 Pro recently. Hoping F2 can last longer. Keeping my RN4 as backup. It loads quite slow right now. Thinking of factory reset it and install only the apps that i regularly use.
My wife’s RN4 can’t charge anymore due port charging issues. She’s using a Mi 9 since last year.
Okay.
