Id say an iPhone XS Max is definitly 749$ nice, id pay that much in a heartbeat. Its not 1100$ nice though.

Light bleed on the bottom chin, colors tending towards blue a bit too much, rounded corners way to rounded (makes some buttons unreachable for some apps) and the bezels are bigger than the Mi8.

Imo the Mi8 would be a much better comparison than the Poco. It’s actually the Brand’s flagship while the Poco is a cheap phone on the outside (plastic back, not so great IPS display, etc)
iPhone 4S or even an iPhone 5(C) (if you’re lucky) are possible.
I personally consider both of them unusable but for some people they’re perfect. And speed/size isn’t an issue as I even see people using tiny old Samsung Android phones which are even slower.
But you’ll still have an old piece of crap because the battery is mostlikely almost dead and you won’t get security updates anymore.
And you could argue the same with an old Xiaomi.

Iphones in Australia hold their value pretty well on the second hand market. IPhone 6 still goes for around USD $200

You’re better off picking a not “smart” TV and put the extra cost of the smart component to a bigger screen. You can then hook up a cheap 50€ android TV box. It will do everything the smart TV does except even better and cheaper.

In china its easy to get a small couch for 49$. I think this picture applies to china only, xiaomi is a chinese company anyways. Been living in china for 4 years, this is 100% doable here.
They actually do make couches. Not at that price though. $174 USD for single seater, $277 for double seater, and $335 for triple seater
