I have the Redmi 13R 5G, and it’s currently giving me problems, because a) I can’t access apps that aren’t approved/from China and b) it has a Chinese ROM, HyperOS [2.0.1.0](http://2.0.1.0/) (I currently live in the Philippines.) I’ve tried searching for ways to convert it into a Global ROM, but the phone model just does not exist online. It IS a China-only release. In that case, would it be possible for me to convert it to a ROM from a global version of a phone that has similar specs to it? Like say, the Redmi 13C’s Global ROM? Are there any Xiaomi users that can help me?

Sorry but don’t think it will be receiving major hyperos update on your phone. Just check if it reached promised update timeline by xiaomi. You may actually receive system update for sometime.

I did a factory reset to my redmi note 12 and after that i reinstalled the backup i saved before and now all the apps thinks that I’m using a new phone in everything I can’t login to my Google authenticator to get the code for my insta

So I own a redmi note 12 Pro 5G,bought it a year ago, but I can’t upgrade to android 15?! Why am I so late on security updates, even tho my latest security patch is February of 2025,is the fact that I factory resetted 3 times the problem? I just wanna get hyperOS 2 and it’s features along with android 15,can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks

There’s a very long rattle whenever I move my phone. I’ve heard of ois and how it makes a noise but this one just makes a lot of it whenever I move my phone. Is this just a normal thing and I’m paranoid as this phone is almost new, or is there something wrong?

Note, it says “when device is locked”. It only works on the lock screen. If you unlock the phone, the double tap is disabled.
So theres no option to double tap to lock the screen?

May i ask what version of hyperos is that? I cant see that double tap option in the homescreen settings

I read that it was available and not it’s not. I just put a Lock-screen widget in the center of the fixed icons on the bottom. I lock it that way. Starting to get annoyed with the lack of updates. Just got the 2.0.107 update from 2.0.106 on the Global. Which is only a security fix. April security patch… in the middle of May.
I was hoping the 2.1 update will fix more stuff. Will see. I said I will give them 3 months to sort it out before switching to OP. The phone is out since 29 OCT (ch version). 6 months and still the OS is not stellar.
