Hello!
I have owned this phone for more than a year now, and didn’t have any problems for a while.
About 6 months ago the phone stopped charging, but thankfully it was still in warranty, so I sent it to technical support and it worked fine afterwards (mentioning as it might be relevant to the issue).
A couple of days ago I noticed a couple of problems on the audio output from the headphone jack:
– Whenever i plug headphones in, there’s 2 clicking noises on each driver (so 2 can be heard in the left ear and 2 in the right ear); though not really a problem on its own it started doing it together with the actual issue:
– Anytime audio starts playing there’s a loud click, and while the audio plays a high pitched noise can be heard, even with the volume all the way down; this noise varies slightly over time and changes slightly whenever the screen is touched; After audio playback is stopped, the noise continues for about 3-4 seconds and then stops with another loud click.
I tried messing with the audio settings, turning on and off the Hi-Fi audio option, and nothing has changed.
I have tried multiple pairs of headphones, and all of them have this problem.
This seems like an interference issue, so i thought that maybe it could have been caused by the repair, but it’s only showed up now, months later.
The only relevant thing that has happened to the phone these last few days is a software update. After some googling i have found that audio issues due to software updates have been a common problem in the past. I have tried reinstalling the update package, but the problem is still there. I have tried installing a previous version’s update package (downloaded from Downmi), but the fone wouldn’t let me install it.
I don’t know what to do, and using Bluetooth audio isn’t really an option. Is there some easy fix for this or is it a hardware issue that only support can fix?
