no. he meant the update
That’s what i am asking on which device he got the update
Ok its Redmi Note 8 Pro
a screenshot was too hard to do?
r/Xiaomi doesn’t allow posting images
Got this too and the boot up after the update was slow asl. MIUI logo was shown for so long lmao. Glad its ite.
How is it? Better? Or worse?
When you had 12.0.4. before it’s quite the same…just April patch level and some bugfixes
Ah. Nothing relevant then.
What this means when Redmi Note 10 gets 12.5 before Mi 10T. Is Xiaomi think it’s a joke?
Same as well. Got it last night on my Note 8 Pro.
I got the April patch in mid May with the MIUI 12.5.1 update, lol!
People are also actually celebrating the receiving of the MIUI 12 update which is pretty damn old at this point.
I’m satisfied with the Mi 11 — my first Xiaomi phone but yeah, the updates are so all over the place. Hopefully we won’t have to wait for MIUI 13 or Android 12 in order to get the May patch, but I honestly don’t know, haha!
To think that I used to criticize Samsung for their updates…
>People are also actually celebrating the receiving of the MIUI 12 update which is pretty damn old at this point.
MIUI 12.5 ia not just another regular MIUI 12 update.
Then what is it? Some 20-30 models will be getting it at various times. And that has nothing to do with security patches being 2 months late anyways.
Face it, Xiaomi’s updates are disorganized to say the least.
That’s what updates are generally for regardless of the brand: to fix bugs, improve performance, stability and optimization, lol!
What’s so special about Xiaomi’s update offering the same thing everyone else is offering with their updates…except in a totally chaotic way?
Y’all getting security updates?!
Dude I’m sitting here with a Mi 11 Ultra and I still dont have it. The whole lie Mi 11 Ultra is the main phone and coming with 12.5 has really annoyed me.
Lol…I’m sorry I just never witnessed a Xiaomi fanboy! What chaotic way?? What have we been talking about thus far? Have you ever owned like a Samsung phone or an IPhone? Yeah Android 12 is a new android, not an entirely new OS. And what has that got to do with a MIUI skin over it??
Btw… speaking of chaotic, I have not said anything about people being excited about MIUI 12.5. but the old MIUI 12. That is how late and uncoordinated Xiaomi is with its updates.
Don’t worry. I got the same security patch update with 12.0.8 and I got a N8 pro.
October 2020 security patch here. Thinking of flashing Pixel Experience with Android 11
Lol…look at this essey response! 😂😂😂
You should learn both how to read and write before writing up esseys.
You literally said google has announced android 12, an entirely new OS.
Android 12 is not an entirely new OS. That would be Fuchsia and it has nothing to do with smartphones yet in general, much less with Xiaomi in particular.
And again…I was not talking about people being excited about MIUI 12.5 but about the MIUI 12 as in the example of this post.
Sober up.
when is miui12.5 coming?
MIUI for some reason takes a really long time to apply updates.
Not sure what it is – I have seen many other non-A/B partition Android phones update and they don’t usually take that long.
*Other phones show a progress bar for Optimizing apps – I would assume MIUI hides this with the boot animation.*
I got mine like 3 weeks ago
You left-handed?
I got it too and now my navigation gestures aren’t working
I got it too and now my navigation gestures aren’t working
Meanwhile I’m still on January’s security patch
And the Mi 9? When I am gonna have the update?
POV : Made while on my bed lying turned to my left side.
Lol make sense
Redmi Note 8 Pro
I don’t know.
I use whichever hand is convenient in the moment. 😛
I think the numbering is different for different regions.
Lol
Them I’d have to send multiple screenshots. I just wanted a video going through the screens.
I’m also excited for that update.
I got 12.0.8 couple of days ago on rn8p
Must agree. I love my mi 11 but have 2 major problems for me that may prevent me for buying another Xiaomi phone. The first is like you say Xiaomi lacks support regarding software updates/security patches. The other reason is the miui. Don’t get me wrong I like the skin but there’s so many little bugs and for me that came from the S10 plus with Samsung really improvement updating the software and with a skin almost bug free.
Same. I’m not sorry at all that I bought the Mi 11, especially given what you get for the price. I literally paid only 650 euro for it because it was on a discount.
However yeah, there’s the software support issue and a few minor bugs that haven’t been resolved even with the 12.5 update.
I’m sorry maybe I don’t understand a thing about skins but the true is I didn’t notice any stability, performance or battery improvement from miui 12 to miui 12.5.
Using for more than 2 weeks now on Global rom and feel no real differences only small changes in some visual aspects.
Can I ask did you pay the European price for it the 1.200 euros and if so do you think is worth that price? Mi 11 here Thanks in advance.
I got 12.0.7 with May security patch few days ago
Got march security patch and february security patch on the same update this month good job xiaomi
The way you hold the phone is unsatisfying
I don’t actually remember how it was. It looked straight to me.
Good that I saw this, because I got one too but mine is V12.0.7.0
Why is your’s V12.0.5.0, that’s the one I’m upgrading from now. Anyways jw.
The numbering depends on region. Which region are you in?
This update sucks man! Either swipe on home sfreen open only the notification panel but animations in media while swiping notification is cool
Europe
I’m not in Europe but I have a European market model. I think it’s the specific model. Version numbers seem to also differ slightly with model.
