Awesome
That’s stunning!
Does reddit compress the image? Looks compressed. Upload the original image somewhere.
I am using GCHDR+ as well and pictures are sharper with good dynamic range.
Where is it? Looks nice
Holy fucking shit.
Philippines 🙂
What version are you using?

This image isn’t hard to capture, stock app sample?
I bet stock camera result would be this good too
I think the foreground shadows would be worse, but I agree that you need a basis for comparison.
Where in Phillipines? This one’s definitely going in my bucket list
Hi! After you rooted the phone you can still apply OTA updates?
No, they will fail to install. It’s not difficult to update though, using mi flash tool, flash a stock firmware (tick ‘keep user data’), then reboot and download and install update and root again.
Wow, looks like a beautiful place. Nice photo!
OP which version are you using?
I found that simply unlocking the bootloader via fastboot made updates fail.
It doesn’t wipe the data partition when you use `fastboot oem unlock`, but broke OTA’s for me.
Sadly, yes. Check the the xda article https://www.xda-developers.com/google-camera-hdr-xiaomi-redmi-note-3/
I wasn’t able to capture the same photo with the stock camera app as I wasn’t originally thinking of sharing this here, but you may refer to my previous [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/7m46c6/so_i_tried_the_google_camera_hdr_on_my_mi_a1_left/?utm_source=reddit-android).
Cebu 😊
It’s a great looking photo
I’ve read in xda that you still can if you use [Magisk](https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445). You have to be really careful, though. One mistake can get your device stuck in bootloop. But you can always flash it back to stock ROM if that happens. However, root will be lost.
needs photo from regular camera for comparison
I don’t get point of these photos without comparison
Did you use Auto HDR+ or HDR+ enhanced?
Hi! Where in Cebu? I worked there for 7 months, really amazing landscapes! Would love to visit there again 🙂
Can’t you root, change the API and the unroot? The changes remain
Since pinoy ka. Ni-root mo phone mo? Or if hindi. Did u root your phone for this app?
Hi. Sorry but since it’s a trip and I was on a limited time, I wasn’t able to consider comparison. But you may refer to my previous [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/7m46c6/so_i_tried_the_google_camera_hdr_on_my_mi_a1_left/?utm_source=reddit-android). 😊
HDR+ enhanced. I’m not contented on the outputs of auto.
Sirao Garden in Busay. I’m currently on a 4-day vacation here. Just did whale-shark watching here in Oslob and canyoneering in Kawasan today. 😊
Yes madam nagroot po ako. Kaso nagkaproblema ako pag update OTA kaya kinailangan ko magflash ng stock rom. Tapos iroot ko uli. Haha.
Mukang di naman sya ginawa para akyatin. Palamuti lang. Haha.
HDR+ enhanced has a greenish tint for me (Note 4X Samsung sensor).Changing the HDR config to Nexus 6P makes Auto HDR+ work (and I think an old version of Google Camera had it working with Pixel)
This is a pretty tight image given the cost of the Mi A1, especially those distance details through the haze.
Is there any chance google camera will come as an update for Mi A1? Or an update enabling camera2api at least
I don’t think so. I think they’re gonna keep it to Google phones. But enabling Camera2 API, I think that’s possible.
Kakaba kasi ahhaah tapos sa ngayon wala kasi kami internet kaya di ko rin magawa ng maayos ahha
Where can I download the app without Root?
I’m not sure but I think non-root versions are only available for Samsung Galaxy S8.
