Google calendar sync issues

So I have recently updated my Redmi Note 8 Pro to MIUI 12.5.2 (global), and since the update on startup, Google calendar says “sync error”. The error is so bad that it fully deleted my calendar and won’t show my appointments anymore.

Is there anyone who knows how to fix this issue?
