So I bought the phone today, been using it for a couple of hours and all I can say is that this is the best phone I have ever owned, period. I’m simply amazed…
I applaud your honesty
Hopefully you will update us with few camera shots. Enjoy your phone!
Max3 is old news now. Mix3 is where it’s at. Trade that old-school useless junk in and pre-order a Mix3 before it’s too late!
/s
EDIT:
I thought it was obvious, but seems I need to add the `/s`.
Evidently sarcasm is lost on the internet.
Did someone hurt you? Are you okay? Do you need to talk to someone?
I’m thinking about this same phone bud! Although I’m looking forward to the Mix 3🤔 How is it my dude?
Definite trauma.
Pretty tactile and not wobbly at all.
I’m currently in love with the phone, it does everything I want perfectly. No doubt the Mix 3 is going to be better, but it’s also going to be almost 3x the price, and that’s way too much for me. The Max 3 is currently my favorite phone.
Another issue is I get questions all the time about the size of my phone (Mi Max) and I do find it hard to hold sometimes😂 any problems in that capacity?
It’s like way more expensive and the battery is not big
Enjoy the beast
I like mine a lot too. Even better than the mm2. But it’s incredibly slippery. Slips out of hands, pockets, everything. Something needs to be done!!
MIUI 9 was garbage on it. 10 is fine tho. Battery life is well over two days.
Yeah, with my pocophone, I’m not interested in a phone with less than 4000 mah of battery, mi max 3 is a beast.
Do you want a Snickers?
Welcome to the club. Simply the best phone on the market at the moment.
Headphone jack, no notch, micro SD card support, 2-3 day battery life, etc.
Are you a salesperson for Xiaomi or something?
Welcome!
Now good luck and don’t get too discouraged with trying to get an OS fully functional
If you like MIUI and don’t need Xposed then you’re fine
Otherwise if you like AOSP-experiences w/ Xposed, you’re in for a lot of digging (currently in that process right now)
Battery is 3200 MAh, laughably pathetic LOL
Best Phone this year, beautiful design choice with the slide and no notch
Edit: wrong phone :>
ordered one myself from china, a month has passed and still no signs of it in tracking sites… fucking aliexpress man, when you order shit under 5$ they come in 1-2 weeks, when you order something for 300$ it will probably take them 2 months minimum.
Does it work with snapchat? Mix 2 had an issue with that.
Max 3? Never heard of it. Is it a good phone?
What issues did Mix 2 have with snapchat? I have been looking at it and there is no way I will get it if snap doesn’t work.
I’ve a mix 2. But would like something bigger but with the same responsiveness. Is the mi max 3 a good replacement?
Is it a 4/64 or a 6/128 GB version?
Obviously I do as I have stated above. So your comment is not beneficial in any way.
Now just wait a month to unlock the bootloader and you have the perfect phone.
Yeah!
Wrong phone
It has headphone jack?
Edit: mix/max mixed up
lül
4/64 GB
Amazing
Not to be rude, but who even uses Snapchat?
I’d say it’s definitely a good replacement, especially if you want a bigger screen and better battery life.
Is this the global version? Where did you get it?
I’m from Serbia, so I bought it from a local store.
Xposed can be installed on miui
Poco
No, it’s 64GB
What part of it makes it sound serious? It is a satirical portrayal of very fast moving tech media, indented to be understood as an outrageously unbelievable comment, and clearly sarsasm.
Feature-wise, imo it’s the best, but it still has a short-coming
The **only** reason I can’t love this phone is because of the LTE band coverage, as it’s very limited compared to a lot of Xiaomi’s line up. iirc, it’s missing bands 17 & 20, which are fairly critical for AT&T’s LTE coverage.
Bear in mind that it’s entirely my fault for not checking coverage, but it really sucks not having LTE around the DC area. 4G upload speeds at 0.5 mbps really doesn’t cut it at all anymore.
Am still rocking the original mi max and it still holds me well,I dunno if should upgrade or no.
What are you talking about? It has band 20 LTE!
I’m living in urban Austria and wouldn’t have LTE otherwise!
It’s all personal preference, but I think it’s worth the update solely because of the looks.
oh yup, you’re correct
at any rate, I’d still highly recommend double checking bands. I thought I could live without LTE, which I caaaan for the most part, but I’m certainly more dependent on finding Wifi hotspots than I used to be.
I fully agree that the phone’s band support is not optimal for use in the US or Canada, however the phone is perfect for European use.
this might be a stupid question but, (I don’t really know that phone appart that it’s bigger and with a bigger battery than the pocophone), but according to gsm arena (stating a 270€ price tag), I’m genuinly curious why would one get this when poco bow exists at 290€ ? (I’m not try to start a war or spam “poco” like a lot do these days, I’m just missing something maybe, hence the question \^\^)
Some of the reasons I would never buy the Pocophone: The build quality is shit, the look of the phone is atrocious (that huge notch + chin combo give me nightmares) and the screen has a lot of issues. Sure, the specs of the Pocophone are amazing, but specs aren’t everything.
I’m willing to bet you were serious about it at first, then put that “/s” at the end when you got downvoted to hell…
On a weird tangent, I heard this is exactly what cult leaders and/or manipulative people say when they want to control you.
I can’t stop praising it. It is by far my favorite phone that I have used so far.
Redmi Note 5 is Max 3’s little brother.
I suggest the RN5 for you.
build quality is shit, kinda, mine is in a case and I’m paying attention to not drop it or lying around with water around etc
notch+chin isn’t great lol
I don’t have the clouding effect on the side like some users mentionned here, but it a wide problem apparently, yup.
I kinda regret buying the note 5 over the max 3 🙁
And locked bootloader.
He literally said that he “wants something bigger”, and you go on and suggest him the Note 5 which is the same screen size as his Mix 2 and a straight downgrade spec wise? wtf.
Doesn’t work for me on Max 3 XiaomiEU (latest stable, which doesn’t have ARB(?))
I thought Redmi 5 had same hardware as Max3 except smaller screen and battery. My mistake! 😉
Damn, that sucks
It *does*, but your recommendation still makes no sense.
He has a 6″ Mix 2. He said
“I want a larger device”
“I want a device with the same responsiveness”
And you go ahead and recommend him a 6″ phone which isnt bigger than his current phone. On top of that you recommend a phone that is slower than his current phone, when he said he wanted something as responsive.
Im sorry but I cant follow your thoughts whatsoever.
Ya, I though Note5 had a bigger screen than Mix2.
Turns out Mix2 still has a faster processor than Max3, so maybe just wait for Mix3?
I see. The Global version, I assume?
I want the 6/128 one, so the only option for me is ordering a Chinese version from a reseller.
I guess there’s no way to prove it, but you’re wrong. It was intended to be satirical from the start. An honestly I still don’t see how anyone could read that sentence and think that it is serious. To me that should have been obvious. But you are free to think whatever you want.
But the Max3 _is_ the latest tech. It was only released last month. The only device newer is the Mix3, hence the joke.
But don’t mind me, I’m over here with my RN3 SE from mid-2016 and I don’t have any reason to upgrade.
😱
No matter what I do, I can’t get this thing to heat up… It’s bizarre. The only time it got warm was when playing PUBG at max brightness and on mobile data, otherwise it’s cold as ice.
