Don’t worry Android One lovers, there will be a #Xiaomi Mi A3 and it’s design is quite similar to #XiaomiCC9.

I can’t remember the Redmi Note 7 not having a headphone jack
Oh yes, 100% that would be killer.
It’s just because i decide I want this and this for that price. So I got one phone in mind. And then there jumps one other phone in which has the things I want but some more things I like for around the same price.
My current phone closes apps randomly for no reason and is breaking so I need new one
Hopefully they will include NFC
A2 is awesome! Great pictures, super Slim, Android one. I for one love mine. It could use a larger battery but with QC3 it’s really a non issue. Top up a few minutes and that’s it. (Anecdotally me and a iPhone xs friend took the same picture and although xs was somewhat sharper people we both showed them preferred mi A2 because it felt more natural)
Looking forward to mi A3. Already have a buyer for the 2. We are both waiting for the 3 to drop so we can both upgrade. She’s on a A1. Really tempted for the mi 9t though.
Edit: for a taste of the camera check my insta. Same name.
Mi A2 Lite uses 625, and Redmi 5 Plus uses 625 too. The design also similiar, oh and it’s called Redmi Note 5 in India.
Yes, Xiaomi really has a fucked up naming scene. Wtf.
Nooooooo 🙁
No buy with that notch
All those shots were taken with the A2? Impressive.
Xiaomi ARE RESPONSIBLE for the major releases – compilation, testing, release etc. a problem came in with the pie major release on the A2 lite – that was their responsibility.
#Xiaomi Mi CC9 Specs:-
6.39-inch Amoled display
In-display fingerprint reader
Snapdragon 712
Triple camera
3900mAH
18W charging support
Where is everyone buying it from?
I hope they are gonna reinvent the Mi aX lineup with the A3. Not cheap out on the battery this time and also bring back micro SD expansion slot and headphone jack. It’s a budget device and people need those stuff on budgets.
But you’re not supposed to. Xiaomi targets different regions with different phones.
You are literally not meant to look at all Xiaomi lineup as a whole.
Xiaomi Mi9 CC is only marketed in China so far. Nowhere else. And likely to stay that way.
Got it from Eglobalcentral. Sadly, they don’t ship to Croatia. But they have the 64gb for 140 bucks right now.
Using mi A2 I’m loving it…. And waiting for Mi a3 badly…
No idea who that Twitter guy is but if he is to be believed, part of his previous posts has the cc9e=a3 lite which should be <6"
Xiaomi also were poor in their support of android one e.g. mi a2 lite had issues that were never fixed and there for a long time from near the start e.g. bluetooth on slowing down wifi etc . pretty disappointing from them so reduces my confidence in them getting it right. I believe that there were issues on the A2 also.
RN6P has a notch, and shares elements with the Mi A2 Lite. RN5 doesn’t.
I guess Mi A3 will be Global version of it. As it was with A1/Redmi 5X. As is with K20/Mi9T… It’s a big mess
OH, you’re right. I forgot about the notch. It’s Redmi 6 Pro btw in China. Redmi Note 6 Pro uses 636 instead.
Why bother? just root it
ROM development is the key here
The monthly updates are provided by Google, as far as I know, Xiaomi installs some of their apps on the phone like file manager, Camera etc. And that’s all they do.
Iirc it’s a rebranded RN6P.
RN5+(Int.)RN5(India)/RN5(S660Int.)/RN5P(S660India) > RN6P > RN7
Buckin hell Xiaomi has a fucked up naming scheme.
YEEEES
None of the RN series has ditched the jack.
Mainly due to fears that doing so would lead to a mass Indian revolt.
Xiaomi isn’t responsible for software problems on Android One phones, Google is responsible for that, Xiaomi only provides the hardware and Google rolls out the updates. I have the Mi A2 and I have no problems.
I have an A1 with a 625 and it works really well
This will be awesome to have amoled in androidone. to hell with the pop up camera rumours!
Yes please. I hate notches.
What was the problem?
Get the lite.
Mi CC9e will be
I’ve been stuck in Stock Android for 2 years and the more I’ve been into phones, the more I’ve realized that I’ve been missing out in features in other ROMS. Now I’m on MIUI and couldn’t be happier. It’s just as smooth as stock, more features and more customizability in the theme store. I wont mind using stock now but I could never see myself going back, especially with this awesome gesture navigation lol.
Same here brother
What’s the deal with the front camera? Motorized or waterdrop notch?
They probably still cramp down battery size as usual to 3.000 mAh and ditch the headphone jack
what the shit, where do you live? in croatia new mi a2 is 185 euro
Nope. That depends on the rom.
It will
I also love all the extra features that MIUI offer.
Used both and still feel that way.
But I gotta admit when I had to recommend one skin, I’d go vanilla due to Xiaomis bloat
You feel that way because the snapdragon 625 in the mi A2 lite is shitty, try a phone with stock Android and a great processor like the Mi A2(not the lite) and then tell me you feel the same about it. The processor in the mi 9 see is way more powerful than the one in the mi A2 lite.
Thankfully it will not be a dream. Let the device launch in India.
not a killer issue but an annoying one because it hasn’t been fixed. with the pie update (from Xiaomi lol) it came about. when you have wifi and bluetooth on at the same time the wifi speed is drastically reduced (like 1/8 of speed of what it should be). if you turn off bluetooth it’s fine.
I really don’t want Stock Android anymore, to be honest.
Other ROMS have become better and better, while Stock has actually become worse with 9.0
Except it does have round corners, looking at them right now.
Use an online tool to compare phone sizes, and you’ll see that newer phones arent getting THAT much bigger, as their screen covers more of the front, so even if the screen grows the borders are much smaller than before
Happy cake day
Developers will make AOSP ROMs soon, my guess.

Though NFC might be region specific.
Notch
they are. they adapt stock android for each device. how come the camera app is a Xiaomi app for example if google do everything.
They also for sure release the major updates e.g. to pie etc.
Same for me, we should wait for Mi a3 lite
I don’t think so about the headphone jack. But the battery may shrink. That shouldn’t be a huge step back from the cc9 because of Android Onr
K20/Mi 9T with Android One would be the dream
We need a big Mi Max 4!! Big screen and huge battery!!!
Yes, it’s smaller waterdrop one and almost every smartphone released these days have round corners.
Too many phones.
The most insane thing I’ve ever heard.
You won’t lose google play. gapps can be flashed on any custom rom.
Rebranded K20 would be perfect.
To be honest I prefer miui over stock Android. Had the a2 Lite and now mi 9 se. MIUI feels so much more fluid
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_One
Read the first few sentences.
Only Android Go can be altered by companies.
No chance, would eat sales from the mi9t
Yeah as beautiful as MIUI is, there’s quite a few problem (ads, bloat). If i recommend xiaomi to someone that will be what i warn first. If you don’t mind learning how to install xiaomi eu then it’s perfect
Yeah me too, love the size of my A2 lite, hopefully battery will as good or better
Where I live, second hand prices are ridiculous. Right now I can sell my 32gb A2 for €140. Considering I got mine new for 190, not much of a loss.
I’m loving mine and I’ll get the A3 as soon as it’s out. Android One is awesome.
Mi A2 Lite (Redmi 5 Plus rebranded) didn’t ditch the headphone jack.
In a business like this it’s just too hard to choose a good phone to buy half a year later. I may switch for the fourth time
And from what I’ve read, it has a headphone jack too <3333. Hope that it's true, it's a major step up in every way from the Mi A2.
If this is true. I’ll cry
If only it had nfc
It works worse than a newer model, it’s not as smooth and fluid as the Mi A2, that’s what I meant, I know it works perfectly fine.
Hopefully it will be smaller. Anything above 6-inch is really too much for me…
Source? I would love to have one if it did…
nah
What is the triple lens?
Ultra wide, wide, telephoto?
But it has a big display. I don’t think it need less than 3500mah.
That’s not actually true. When the Android one program was first released that was the case but somewhere along the line it changed. Even the A1 was already maintained by Xiaomi.
They did this with the Redmi Notes. But there’s indeed the chance they see the relevance of it again when you look at theMi9t
hey if your current phone works fine keep it..
what do YOU look from a phone, what do you need what do you want I have mi a1 since launch in 2017 and I love it, it gets sometimes hot and battery is not the best but it gets the job done, I want when I switch to really feel the difference and a jump in technolgy
CC9 = Mi A3
CC9e = Mi A3 lite
But where’s Redmi 7 Pro?
