So i recently got a used (pre-owned) M365 scooter, and whenever i try to connect to it with the official Mi Home app (which they list in the actual user manual), it always gets stuck at the point where it says “press the power button” on the app, but then when i press the power button, the only thing that happens is, the scooter’s light turns on (as you would expect).
Now, considering that it’s pre-owned, i suspect the previous owners hacked it, or otherwise messed with it to unlock the speed or something like that, because i’ve read somewhere that if the scooter has been hacked, it won’t be able to connect to the official app. So i’m assuming that my scooter has a custom firmware that’s not compatible with the official app, and that’s why i can’t connect to it.
If at all possible, i would like to solve this problem without any additional hacking (ie. only with tools and actions that the manufacturer intended), but if anyone knows any way to resolve this problem, hacking or not, i’d be happy to consider all the possibilities.
PS: in a third party app (namely, “M365 Plus”), it says that the firmware version is 0142, so i hope this can tell someone whether it’s hacked or not.
Also, in the event that i would have to reinstall the original firmware or something like that, i would really appreciate some help with doing that, at least a link to somewhere to learn about how to do that stuff
