1000 Euros for the Xiaomi 13? Sorry, but what? It is literally more expensive than Apple’s lineup and it’s not even funny anymore… What happened to the android smartphone market?
Support XiaomiEnlightened
I’ve been anxiously waiting for the global pricing thinking it’d be a modest hike from the 12, but come on – €1300 for the Pro is ridiculous. Looks like the 10T Pro will be both my first and last Xiaomi.
Se for me,y 11T is my first Xiaomi and it will be my last!
I am sorry but i would have to be the biggest fool and clown to give 1000 EUR for Xiaomi phone. Never again.
What happened is that lower prices already have plenty of phones in those tiers and Xiaomi also wants to compete for the +1000€ market alongside Apple and Samsung’s finest. This one may be that expensive but there are plenty of other models costing less.
Well I guess the Xiaomi 11T is my last Xiaomi, I was considering buying the Xiaomi 13 if the price was below 1000 dollars, but judging by the price in Europe, the price in Mexico will be even higher (for example, the Xiaomi 12 pro 256gb was officially sold for 1450 dollars by the biggest carrier in the country, and the Mi 11 256gb for 1100 dollars), so I will definitely buy a Pixel.
No phone out today is worth that price.
Same here, I ain’t never buying another Xiaomi phone again, I’ll rather go to black magic
Shit filled with bugs and game related issues
note that xiaomi’s high end phones street prices get lower with time a lot, more than every other smartphone maker
Nicely said. If you don’t play genshin impact on your phone, (and even if you do, you can, just lower your settings) Xiaomi’s mi 9T pro is still very fast, doesn’t lag at all, takes good pictures and has no notch (pop-up camera) paired with ok battery (4000 mAh) and snapdragon 855 is still works like a charm. I bought mine for 270 USD in early 2021 and I’m not gonna buy a new phone for at least 2 years from now. Duh, even Samsung Galaxy S7 is really snappy and perfectly usable in 2023 if you don’t play genshin. It can run games like PUBG and cod no problem. I seriously don’t understand people changing their phones every 2 years or so.
Xiaomi has been well priced for me historically but now I’m considering trying a realme phone. Similar software experience apparently but lower prices to xiaomi.
In Spain the 13 Pro is 1300€. Still no video output from the USB nor 4k video front facing camera.
€1000 is too much for the base Xiaomi 13 with three years of software updates. Even the base Samsung S23 is cheaper (€950).
I can t even imagine the ultra (coming in like 2 months) price…. 1700 ? That would be insane.
Why not going to a Redmi Note phone, they are pretty good and cheap.
Tho Google Pixel phones are also pretty good and fairly priced.
I also have the same phone and I agree with you.
I’m in year 4 on my 9T, expecting to get two more. While I only paid ~$300 for mine, if I had paid a G, that wouldn’t have been awful for a six year lifespan. Of course I got darn lucky with my 9T, and there’s no guarantee my luck will hold.
realme is better man these days instead of redmi, note 10 pro was last best upgrade by them.
and samsung came with 300$ worth freebies at launch
Not to mention MIUI 14 for Europe lacking all cool new features …
Fr and they replaced a great 12x with a really mid 13 lite
Only thing more funny thank 1k for a Xiaomi 13 is to give 1.3K for the 13 Pro haha.
I watched the official live stream live and man the audience was pissed when they announced prices.
Also.people were shocked when they said they want 1k too for the scooter.
Been using a Mi9 for a while and was thinking it’s upgrade time but between the Samsung S23 ULTRA 256GB and a Xiaomi 13 Pro I would prefer the ultra.
So yeah Xiaomi put some Leica stickers and there you go, price.
Wish Huawei was an option. Must have Google services.
Time to check the S23 Ultra in the shop.
USB 2.0 isn’t it?
Fancy specs, fancy price. Fair enough.
We could wait for poco phones with 8 plus gen 1 or gen 2 for a reasonable price. 50 MP ultra wide, 50 MP telephoto, 50 MP wide, IP68, ceramic back, LTPO amoled are the things that i can trade for just a poco f3-like phone with a gen 2 processor.
Better get an S23 Ultra 512GB.
Here in Romania there are some offers (not from carriers) for 1150 euros.
My next phone surely will be the S23U once the price goes lower, even though the 11T is my 4th Xiaomi phone.
Rip Xiaomi.
Idk. Genshin is just the most demanding. A benchmark if i say so myself. And you can sometimes be away from your PC.
I paid €350 for the Poco F2 Pro.
I dread the day I have to get a new phone.
The way I see it there’s not even a better phone available right now, regardless of price.
Like what for example? And why is it like that?
Agree. Upgraded from Realme 6 to Note 10 Pro, mostly for the specs, but I’m regretting it. The software on the realme is just better polished and suited for my use. And for god’s sake, how is it possible that this phone gets overheated with the same games that didn’t break a sweat on the realme with half the specs?
Or you can import from china for 700€
It will become more than 1k euro with tolls in my country unfortunately.
I would say better software experience, at least for my usage. It’s better polished and I never encountered a single bug
12x on its own was mid. It was very close to the base 12 while lacking wireless charge and a worse processor.
You can order it with global priority shipping from tradingshenzhen.com (+16€) and there are no import taxes. Got my K30 5G that way
It costs 842 euro for me.
In Europe, the Xiaomi 13 is just 200 euro cheaper than the S23 ultra which is just madness.
How could Xiaomi decide that 1k euro is a good price for the regular 13 ? Ridiculous.
> worse processor.
Debatable.
I gladly ‘downgraded’ from 12 to 12X because the SD 8 Gen 1 overheated in the 12 (particularly with wireless android auto) and wireless charging is a gimmick (IMHO). Particularly if the ‘worse processor’ uses less energy and lasts 20-30 hours between sub 1 hour (wired) charged sessions.
1400€ actually… Insane prices
You have to be absolute clown to buy Xiaomi for such price instead of top-of-the-line iPhone or Galaxy S
4G bands such as B7, B20, B32 is not supported in Chinese version.
The secret is to wait a few months and the price will drop.
Just look at the price you can get the 11t pro from Amazon.
*three years and slower update than Samsung
You guys are having Xiaomi 13? Come on… Xiaomi doesn’t even bring them in my country, the best thing that we can get here is 12/12T 😂
I’m not sure what they are thinking, nobody in Europe is going to buy a Xiaomi phone, that is not better in any way for the average consumer and is more expensive than Apple and Samsung. It has nothing to be interesting.
I really like Xiaomi phones and will want specifically a Xiaomi flagship, but I will never buy it at this price, so I don’t see how anybody else will!
Who’s the biggest carrier in Mexico?
It’s called Telcel
Aah cool. Good to know, I live in the US. We don’t have Xiaomi or Oppo here so I have to import.
Miui global roms problem. You should tried some customize roms
The same. I hate Xiaomi and their region-locked version of MIUI.
I’m currently running MIUI EU after trying four different custom roms, none of which had a decent or even had a camera app. Both global and EU are quite buggy
And still, buying a phone to then having to customize it to have a decent user experience. Is it worth it?
I dread the day of having a punch hole or a notch on my screen back.
I have the pro. Stock in speed mode, I had 75% performance retention in throttle test. Now after removing any and all software limitations I can keep 90% and the soc temp stabilises around 90°c which is still safe and holdable with the case on it. Even at stock, I’m certain the performance is better than what a 870 will keep. It’s really just efficiency that’s better on the 870 and those who seek flagships will know that they get a worse battery endurance than midrangers (fun fact, the 870 does heat as well in heavy tasks).
My K30 5G got a loose charge port after 1.5 years and the replacement randomly killed itself a month after. So having wireless charge is a nice reassurance that in case of the charge board dying / port going loose I would still be able to use my phone, especially without painfully slow charge (like some other manufactures have on their phones). It’s worth the 15% premium over the 12x imo especially with better processor on top of that.
https://tradingshenzhen.com/en/xiaomi-13-xiaomi-13-pro/xiaomi-13-8gb256gb
Here’s the base model selling for 697€
At this point, I’d rather just wait for the Sony Xperia 5 V or similar.
B20 is useless anyways, unironically my 3G in austria is faster than whenever I’m on B20 only roaming in hungary. Am very thankful to the 4G gods that my carrier doesn’t use it.
B32 is a support band. Network will function without it as well.
B7 is the only important one.
And tradingshenzhen.com has a compatibility assistant for the phone anyways that’ll tell you how well it works on european networks.
I bought Xiaomi 13 (12+256) at ¥4599 in China last month and it’s about 626 Euros. It is really expensive in the oversea market, just like Apple in China.
But it’s still much more expensive than ever before. S23 or iPhone has no DC and my eyes are sensitive with PWM so finally I chose Xiaomi 13.
Well that’s the top level luxury brand. It’s going to be expensive but yeah I wouldn’t pay that money for a Xiaomi phone lol. Not at all.
Just don’t buy any phone
USB 3 / video out.
We know why people buy xiaomis. Maybe they should remember that.
+1. People flexing because they have enough money for a phone are beyond cringe.
Same. They’re insane. I’d rather get Samsung’s S23 Ultra for the price of Xiaomi 13 pro.
Mi 11 will be my first and last Xiaomi.
check one plus or vivo x90pro, they are just too good for their price. Specially vivo, it’s cheaper the 13 pro, with the same 1″ lens as 13pro.
Any clown would go for xiaomi instead of vivo if they want 1″ camera.
or get one plus?
Just the same strategy we have seen from different companies in the past decade.
At first you offer your smartphones for lower prices to gain share of the market and bind costumers to your product. Once you think a sufficient amount of people is a “fan” of your brand you start cranking up the prices and people will still opt for your expensive products.
Famous examples for this strategy are Huawei and after that OnePlus.
I think its just a matter of time until a new competitor enters the market with reasonable prices..
Wow thanks for this. Will check them
oneplus 11 specially has much superior ui and update frequency. It’s just 670usd and 4 + 5 update plus all features are same except camera has imx 890 with ois + 32 tele with imx 709. dolby, 10bit, hdr, 120 watt, curved. It has everything.
Everyone and their mother probably have a competent smartphone these days, Xiaomi being a public trading company is under the pressure to find the growth somewhere, if you can’t ship as many units, it makes sense to raise the average price.
That being said, Xiaomi feels less “professional” as a company to compete with Apple/Samsung/Google in this price bracket.
I bought Chinese version, and it is really cheap, don’t know why European version up to 1000€.What are they thinking?
That’s why I’m planning to switch to Sony.
I mean there’s really no reason why Apple should be charging more, the phones are not better. Still using 1080p screens, less RAM, virtually no customization. Much smaller sensors in the camera.
Price will probably drop a little further in the year, guess we need to wait a bit more to get these phones at correct pricing.
Any realme phone recommendations? the gt neo 5 looked like great value.
Budget? And what would you use it for?
I have up to $500. Use phones typically for 3 years. I rarely take photos, but game a lot and watch YouTube.
spectacular wistful divide like whistle cause fragile lip market bear
*This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
I think the gt neo 5 is well priced for what it offers, but I’d wait for the GT 3 to come out. Maybe you’ll like this one, or maybe the prices of the others will just drop significantly
Literally yeah
Compare the 13 to Samsung S23, Samsung will give you more consistent experience and more updates for same price
And less said about 13 Pro the better, basically same price as S23U but inferior overall, I mean sure main sensor is better but rest aren’t and again, Samsung will be more consistent
I could understand if prices were 150 euros lower but even that would be pushing it
So glad rn I got 12X instead of waiting for 13 series
ADDITION: OMG, ARE YOUR SERIOUS XIAOMI? They literally ONLY brought the 8GB RAM model of the 13 to Europe. No option to get 12GB RAM. Thanks, I was really hyped and even considered paying almost 1k euros for the 13, but after that? No thanks
Just use the Xiaomi.eu ROM
Android Smartphone market is fine, Xiaomi just wants more money
Pixel is very good Price/Performance imo. And you have nice stock android
But they do not compete. There is no reason to get this instead of S23Ultra etc.
Exactly. It’s sad. And don’t forget that the price drop will be significant so that if you sell your phone it won’t be worth that much anymore.
Just saying but the Mi 11 Ultra was around the same price and I bought mine for 830€ including shipping and changing the Chinese MIUI to Xiaomi.eu
I agree. Max 250€ is my limit for Xiaomi devices, to get good hardware/ price value. Redmi Note series is still a good choice.
Like having a dog on your homescreen
I feel Realme often now have a better price/value compared to Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco phones.
regular 13 is only 200 euros cheaper?
1300 and the resell value would be 200-400 after a year or two.
Leica branding aside, the Pro model uses the latest 1inch sensor which isn’t even on the 23Ultra.
The main issue with Xiaomi is their damn ads even on the flagships.
In terms of brand placement Xiaomi, by renaming their main line to Xiaomi instead of the previous Mi branding and also moving the lower end to Redmi is exactly trying to reposition itself as the premium line. That is also why they’re going with Leica and trying to replicate the success of Huawei from P10 Pro onwards (before they became a victim of global diplomacy). Obviously Xiao mi isn’t anywhere near as successful because evidently we are complaining about the 13 this way. I guess splurging on Wonder Woman did help.
At least in Romania, yes it is.
Apple’s prices are overpriced. I agree, but they are considered a “luxury” brand.
But what is more strange a “medium” or even “low cost” brand trying to get the same margin with overpriced products…
Even if you use better components.
12X is great… good value, apart from battery efficiency…. It was a good trade off, cheaper processor, not ultra very high powerful, but more than good enough for the people who does not play demanding games.
I think this kind of trade-offs are interesting for many customers…
Lite processor may be fine for me, but the cameras are worse and that 2mpx macro camera is useless.
You don’t know my situation or other people’s for that matter. Someone who has the money to flex on something mundane as a phone is 100% not at the level of others who aren’t. Quit whilst you’re ahead.
I’m buying only Redmi Note phones since they started to make crazy prices for the flagships. I bought my MI 3 at 250 euros damn it. Even the fourth and the fifth. Even my Mi Max was not that pricey. As soon as they started to come to Europe. I knew they would start to make the prices high. Because I’ve seen lots of people that don’t know shit about technology. Thinking that of the price is low. The phone is bad
Just check the price of the 13 Pro in Hong Kong which is basically global with Google and all.
It costs about 950Euros. You guys in the EU are royally getting shafted.
The big issue with China’s devices are the missing 4G bands, otherwise we could just import them..
If you want to get it, honestly, import it from China. Wondamobile has some really great prices, so does TradingShenzen and Giztop. I would highly recommend them over buying it straight up from Xiaomi in Europe. Really dumb pricing.
I see B20 is missing. Side question. Will that be an issue without it? Going to Paris in a few months time.
their price depreciate very quickly. Last Xiaomi I had was Mi8 I bought it almost year old around the time that Mi9 came out for 340€. Cant believe quality has gone 3x up with those phones.
I am looking to go from iPhone experiment that I watned to try, but no idea what phone to buy for 350€. Looks like maybe Pixel.
I was thinking about that too, i can get a “like new” refurbed Xperia 1 IV for 800€. Insanely good price imo.
Others phones ive looked at since the price reveal were the Pixel pro 7, S23 plus and Oneplus 11.
Havent decided yet
How long have you been using it for? Ive looked at ordering it through that site too especially after those braindead prices they announced
Even 500 euros is too much money for that crap MIUI that gets updates for like 1,5 years.
I have the 12 pro since this summer. Great phone, my only complaint would be the image quality on the uw and tele lenses, and that the selfie cam is centred (but that’s more of a personal preference). Would probably have been the perfect flagship if it kept the periscope camera from the 11 pro (or upgraded it from the 1/4.4in 8MP to something like 1/4in 10MP)
Next time don’t buy mediatek chipsets if you plan on installing other ROMs to use your device longer time
Me neither , i have a Poco f3, for now it works ok, but I won’t buy Xiaomi bcz they are starting to be very expensive I have to look for other brands. I might go for a pixel but they are little expensive for my budget
As someone who is going to upgrade their OnePlus next year due to the 3g shutdown; how do I ensure an imported phone works with volte?
I’m sure not every country has this whitelist thing but my next phone would need to be a local one.
Apple will kill Android market.
After 10 years of suffering with Xiaomi and Samsung, I made the switch to iPhone and I’ll never going back again.
It’s incredible how crappy Android is as an operating system. How messed are the file structure, how messy and lack are integrations, how everything takes some delay, since skipping a track with my smartwatch till the shutter lag in the camera.
iPhone offers a much snappier experience, something that Android system will never ever manage to do. My earbuds and watch connect breezing fast, no more need to “unlock battery saving options” just for my watch to work on the background.
Android is the worst operating system I’ve ever used, but had to use because I was low on money. It’s night and day the difference from my previous S20 to the iPhone 13 I’m running now. If Android manufactories want to stand a chance to compete in the high end market with Apple, they need to give up Android and develop something entirely new, putting all layers of compatibility away and Java stuff on the trash bin.
Simply don´t buy their shit. They will get the message.
S23 100€ less than xiaomi 13 in Ro
Maybe you get the new widgets for 1000 euros 🤷
It does have IP rating now, Samsung doesn’t have a periscope in s23/s23+ either but for the rest yeah lol
S23 256GB was under 800E at preorder with the right voucher code
If you haven’t used a Pixel phone, you don’t know Android. Pixel is the only fair comparison to iPhone and, IME, clearly superior to the iPhone. Apple is bad at UX.
And how is the compatibility with streaming services? Can you watch stuff in 4k or is it locked to low resolutions? Assuming you have one with the China ROM
Xiaomi pulled the “start out cheap and sell at a loss, then jack up the prices once you have the market share “
I jumped ship about half a year ago, went from Poco F3 to iPhone 12 best decision possible
Thats a smart move. I think as long as people are willing to pay 1000€ for a phone they will offer it for that price 🙁
yeah, but using another custom rom because global rom on redmi phones sucks
wich brand would you recommend which strike the same market of accessible phones with flagship characteristics ?
May I ask what region lock you are refering to?
i’m using xiaomi.eu miui with magisk root and the spoofing modules (safetynet fix and shamiko)
i don’t use any streaming services but my phone is reported as widevine L1 compliant so any resolution streaming should be possible
I mean the different versions of MIUI 14 they are shipping. One with feature rich for china and another lackluster version for the global.
Indeed, the price will go down in the following months, but so to the S23 lineup for example.
In my opinion Xiaomi tried a little too early to fight Samsung and Apple with phones in the same price range, a fight they will not have a chance, they have the hardware but in the software department…they still have a lot of work in my opinion.
I think that in the 350 euro price range, the Pixel is by far the best choice.
The price in Spain and Portugal for the pro version is 1399 euros. For 50 euros more you could have brought the s23u with 512gb that is a far superior phone. None the less both phones are ridiculous expensive.
game related issues? can you go into Detail for me? i use a F4GT and game heavily (game turbo 5 under miui 14) no problems. at the moment ibplay Arena Breakout on the highest settings, but i use a cooler to keepbit at 35c
I am buying Pixel 7 on Thursday. Google now offer best value on flagships. This £1000+ more for a smartphone from Xiaomi and others is just ridiculous and getting out of hand. The non pro Xiaomi 13 is overpriced just like the equivalent Samsung versions.
I am always amazed that people will pay over £1000 for a smartphone. Utter madness
I was tempted but the recent reveal of multiple Chinese bought smartphones pre- installed with spyware convinced me to just get Pixel 7.
1000 euros and still have adds in system, and sluggish software, lmfao, no thanks
Pixel is amazing just problem is their processor isn’t that great. Many are facing probpems already, also u can try nothing then.
Exactly. After looking at the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup I thought that Xiaomi’s 13 series flagships would be a good bet but this pricing has me stunned. Waiting for the Indian pricing to be revealed in a few hours.
For me,I bought a lot of xiaomi devices because they promise they will give people the best price and they always do,except this time.something wrong in that company.
I’m not sure where you’re looking but not what I’m seeing.
https://www.giztop.com/xiaomi-13.html
No point Xiaomi pricing above apple and Samsung because of the ease with which iphones and Samsungs can be sourced and serviced by consumers all over the world.
Apple is a little bit of simpleton’s phone though. I mean that respectfully but it’s built largely for technophobes. They basically mollycuddle customers by completely controlling the whole UX. The customisation options are limited. Simpleton’s phone is probably strong but you get my point. Android is more complex because it’s open source. IOS is not. You get what you’re given but you’re stuck if you don’t like it. With android, you have so many options in terms of customisation.
Not really true. Used loads of their phones and got updates for years. Just root it anyway. Custom roms are far better.
Buy the nophone.
No you don’t. Just import it. I have bought the Poco F1, Poco F3, Redmi note 8, Mi 10T lite and Xiaomi mi 8 over the years at bargain prices imported from AliExpress.
Yeah true we might know and figure out how to do that, but a tech noob might not. For this price you want a guaranteed 4-5 years of updates.
Xiaomi is shit tbh and I’m sick of they’re shitty software and horrible overall performance, i bought a mi 12 256gb for 750€ the performance is literally trash, even worse than on my old S10. Whole lotta bugs and the fps drop while being on the Homescreen. NEVER AGAIN
That was always a thing though, they care more for Chineese market
Got a used 12 for 290$, sweet deal , its always the best to get last year flagship
Oneplus is a joke these days
Same thing with Poco. Doesnt help that the best of the best snapdragon chips are actually expensive
WHAT THE HECK ITS 1200€ IN FRANCE NOT EVEN ULTRA WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU XIAOMI DO YOU WANT TO LOOSE ALL YOUR CLIENTS OR WHAT ????
In the UK I got my S23 ultra for under £900 with their deals (including trading in an ancient flip phone for something like £200 off)
The Xiaomi pro is £1100 here and 256gb instead of the 512gb I got. Ridiculous pricing.
Was considering upgrading to xiaomi 13 from 10t pro…… guess not. Unless the price goes down, i think i’ll wait for asus to release the next zenfone.
What happened to Xiaomi which used to be an affordable brand? At this point I’d rather just go with an iPhone or a Samsung device…
The only way I still didn’t buy Samsung s23 or pixel 7 is the pwm. I am still tempted with best pwm free AMOLED phone – xiaomi 13. But the price tell me than maybe I should go with pixel 7 and hope to have luck and adjust…
which comes free with NSA spyware
iphone 14 also starts at 999€ and the xioami 13 definitely has more to offer than the standard iphone 14
as if you would notice a difference…
Same phone, same opinion, but i think of going to red magic
Edit: the phone just dropped in my North Africa and it is just for 700$
Its literally cheaper to import it from china than to buy the global version, xiaomi 13 pro is around 700€ in china
iphone 14 starts at 1000€, its not more expensive than an iphone
Yeah, I’ve been doing the same, but then I looked at the price of Xiaomi 13 on AliExpress – $1100, and then you need to pay 20% import fees on top of that…
False the Xiaomi 12 base model 256gb is £800. Xiaomi must be on crack.
Poco f4 back in December had a deal £279 with 2 Poco watches, comes with a snapdragon 870 4500mAh battery and works flawlessly. Was £279 again on Amazon last week the phone alone still worth it. The next Poco f5 pro is rumoured to be coming with a snapdragon 8+ gen 1. If Xiaomi sells that for £400< I'd throw my money at them lol
Not in the UK. Base model Xiaomi 12 256gb is almost £800. Absurd.
Wait a few months for the S23 ultra. Should last you for years killer chipset good battery
The Poco f4 was £279 here a few days ago on Amazon
>In the UK I got my S23 ultra for under £900 with their deals (including trading in an ancient flip phone for something like £200 off)
Wtf Which crazy deal was that. Even the base Xiaomi 12 256 is £800+ atm they must be on crack.
Don’t risk it. Buy from your country.
iPhone has always been overpriced af. But they do have the best performing phones. Most android SOCs are years behind in terms of performance. Why would Xiaomi charge more than their competition and offer less features. Usb 2.0 and a 1080p30 front facing camera for £1000+ is absurd
1k euros for a Xiaomi is crazy
Poco F series? I disagree.
Don’t bother.
But they’re two different phones. iOS>>>Miui. They’d compete with Samsung and still lose.
I don’t think the Poco F4 has a headphone jack, Full screen without camera hole (popup camera), smaller battery, no under screen fingerprint sensor.
It might be an ok phone but it’s nowhere near as good as the Poco F2 Pro.
Paying £1000 to use a custom ROM lol?
Their front facing camera can’t even do 1080p60. USB 2.0? £1000+ for miui? No thanks.
The galaxy S10 has a front facing camera capable of 4k60 and the 13 Pro doesn’t
All depends on the budget and what you’re after? Want a good camera and good chipset? Good luck paying less than 800 for flagship level performance.
I’d expect the price to be a lot lower. Camera for some is important
The nothing phone
Then you never needed an Android in the first place. The s20 was a garbage phone in general, if you had the exynos you were essentially ripped off. The s23 ultra is far better than the s20. You can get a £300 Xiaomi phone with better performance than the s20. No one buys an Android strictly for fluidity. If I wanted a smooth phone to browse socials I’d just get a cheap Samsung/Xiaomi phone.
That’s strictly preference. F4 supports 4k60, better selfie camera, motorized cameras are terrible in general. 120hz display. I agree I’d rather have in display FPS. Hopefully the F5 pro will come with one, it’s rumoured to have a snapdragon 8+ gen 1, 2k display, 5500 mAh battery, in display FPS etc. If they retail it for less than £500 or whatevers equivalent to yours, it’d be a no brainer.
The F4’s 870 alone absolutely blows the 855 out of the water and moving parts in a phone aren’t reliable
Forgot to mention the f3 and f4 both come with dongles and the f4 comes with a 67w charger, insane charging speeds
thats your opinion. iOS is the only reason i do NOT buy iphone. i just hate iOS, i feel like a little kid which isnt allowed to use half of the things a phone would be capable of
that’s the official price. Look at its street price, it’s definitely way lower
I get your point but front camera isn’t everything
Today Xiaomi 13 is 800 EUR in The Netherlands.
Still crazy expensive.
OnePlus 11 is 899, S23 base is 899 as well.
My plan is to wait till October, when Pixel 8 and new iPhones get released and then I will hunt Gen2 phones.
I will buy one of these 3, depends on the price at that time. I am sure I will get one for around 500 EUR.
Priority: S23(+), OP 11, Xiaomi 13
Just china import one. It’s like significantly cheaper.
Because they suck?
But the Mi 9 was like 500$ full specs 😭
Does it have a flagship screen tho?
The specs from the Mi 9 to the Mi 11 Ultra are a big jump and a price increase is to be expected but not double the price but since I bought it for 800€ I can’t really understand why people say that Xiaomi are expensive and then go buy a iPhone or a Samsung for even more.
In the case of Xiaomi and most Chinese brands they start selling at phone at almost production cost and once they are established in the market they start to increase prices and sell high end phones to people willing to spend more money so that it covers makes them able to sell cheaper phones.
The F5 pro? It has a QHD Amoled display. Surely not among the best but decent.
“just”?
It’s not that hard to install
It’s funny how you guys could buy Samsung and Apple for $1000 and more , but you think Xiaomi isn’t worth it ? Do you guys even know what it takes to own a phone factory? When you have yours , then you would understand and i also know something, even if the Xiaomi 13 was priced at & $300 to $400 some of you guys will definitely still complain and know this too , you don’t use the phone doesn’t stop others from using it , peace ✌🏾
What’s DC and PWM?
Is it worth it if it’s available in 600-700 euro range?
Thanks!
Apple and Samsung offer better software support and after sale service. That has a cost too. You pay those things when you pay a phone. There’s no justification for Xiaomi being so expensive nowadays.
Just dont buy at giztop they are frauds if you received faulty product they make you pay return shipping fee and only partial refund your device purchase price
I got the S23 U as it is cheaper than Xiaomi 13 Pro in my area. But now I do know why it is cheaper… The Mi 11 feels superior to S23 U , less the camera.
Yup, Mi 11 was such a cool phone. I’m on S24 Ultra now tho and glad to be back on Samsung
