The old but reliable Redmi note 7 just got MIUI 12.5!! , i was losing hope for this old device forgotten by Xiaomi … phone feels much smooth and with a better battery/camera performance so far (global version)

Restart the phone (or disable / re-enabled the Bluetooth) Had the same issue with my xiaomi mi 10 lite. Worked fine with my vw up! +Android 10, update the mi10lite to Android 11, and the issue startend. Updating to latest car radio firmware did not fix it. You didn't provide a link, but do note that Amazon doesn't distinguish between suppliers. It's very possible for one person to get a fake and another something genuine from the exact same listing because they all end up in the same inventory.
