How do I remove the wallpaper carousel icon from the lock screen?
Pretty sure that was a recent system update. Afaik you can't uninstall these updates on the global version without the use of ADB.

Every device has some set of number which a router can use to identify it which is called MAC address. For public wifi , keep it to randomized MAC and for your personal , you can set it to either (unless the router only lets whitelisted MAC address have access to internet)

Yes there's an excuse. Smaller battery = lower manufacturing component cost = higher profit margin potential. Sure there shouldn't be an excuse for it but you'll bet your last dollar that there will still be phones that come out with small batteries.
