i am not a novice user. i used a lot of android phones i did root almost all of it. and daily drive cyanogen mod a lot.

my phone is note 9 pro. i bought this phone 7/2020 and immediately turned down all the ad settings on stock apps. and i use XiaomiADBFastboot Tool to debloat the phone.

Until a few weeks ago i didn’t have any problem with stock app ads.

Hi, you should not be worried about this. This is probably your first Redmi phone. This is called a “notification effect”. This means when you receive a notification your screen will show 2 blue lights. You can turn this off if you don’t like it by going into Settings ⮕ Always-on display & Lock screen ⮕ Notification effect.
