Mostly makes holding the phone easier when taking pictures. The battery pack is a bonus as the camera is a battery drain.

There is a special menu on fastshot which makes it more ‘camera like’ with easier access to screens controls. But that is really a gimmick.

The physical buttons do make picture taking easier, zoom wheel is far better than the on screen circle or pressing buttons, it allows you to do things without moving the phone around. The press to focus/lock exposure is something that again is FAR easier than the screen as you don’t need to move hands about.

Will it make much difference to people who just want to point and click every few days, no. If you take a lot of pictures or attend events where you want to take lots then it makes things easier.
