Seems to me like you have cellular connection turned off, because of that the button next to the wifi button is grey.
That is just to turn on or off mobile data. On video it looks like it is losing all connections to the base station (cellular tower), so no phone calls, messages… That should not happend. Only thing that comes to mind is reset the phone.
What kind of theme do you use?
Looks like Nova Launcher with some icon pack!
Depending on your country it might be connected to your provider over WiFi.
Does this happen outside as well? As this might mean your antenna is not connected to your motherboard or the antenna traces are broken on the motherboard
Thanks
Question; is the nova launcher that much better, and should I switch?
Can’t speak for Nova launcher but poco launcher is nice aswell.
The only time it happen to me it was a roaming problem (I was in another country of Europe). I went to my mobile company website, I turned off roaming in my account, I waited like 10 minutes, I turned on and the problem disappeared.
Maybe it’s not the same case, but probably it’s related with your line, not the hardware.
change you phone/ROM
What is the icon pack?
I’m noticing the opposite, when wifi is on Xiaomi seems to lower the signal of my cellular network, so I stop receiving texts when on wifi.
