there is now a cast option too on xiaomi, the projector wouldn’t connect with youtube. When I used the xiaomi app from the notification ui, it worked.

Ye, like you get what you pay for, I’ve just gotten so tired of all the little mistakes with mine, and I’ve had two Xaomi phones so I know it isn’t just that one phone, thinking sb either a Samsung or a nothing phone 1 as my next one

So do I, because the tiny remote control for TV and especially the streaming device is always on the loose, out and about, somewhere but not at hand.

That was one of the reasons I chose the Poco F3. My old Mi Max had an IR blaster and it was so useful!

Exactly it’s a Swiss army knife, it can control pretty much anything, I don’t even use the included TV remote, also it’s a really cool party trick it’s a shame almost every manufacturer is removing it

I was working in company and they office staff was rude to me so on my way from it I turn air-conditioning to 15 degree an they couldn’t find remote.

I may will get attacked for this but I honestly think that Xiaomi is better than iPhone

– I got for €250,- a Xiaomi with 8GB RAM, 8 cores, 256GB Storage, 4K camera, 5000 mAh
– A €250,- iPhone has: 2GB ram, 6 cores, 64GB storage, 4K camera, 1821 mAh.

– The price/performance is way better, I love android’s OS and I prefer the Xiaomi UI.

Yes, I also think Xiaomi is better than iPhone in many ways.
But I need a flawless phone – I don’t have time for unlocking bootloader, trying different ROMs, studying which update will ruin the system and so on… I had time for that when I was younger.

Also I bought my iPhone with 230€ deposit and the rest will be payed by my company, so I don’t care about the cost.
I would never pay 900€ for it of course.

Not mentioning that I lost a lot of money because of problems with my Poco X3 Pro – it’s GPS module was glitching and I burnt a lot of fuel and time wandering around places.

Also Xiaomi – or any other Android manufacturer doesn’t make compacy phones like iPhone 13 mini anymore…

Yep, same here. I had a Redmi note 5 pro and a Mi 9 Lite, and they both had several bugs within the UI. They’re pretty good value indeed but these bugs just get annoying after a while.
Nevertheless, I just got a Pixel 6 and while I’m loving it so far, I do miss some Xiaomi features like the video tool bar or the quick gestures. You can’t have it all I guess.

There used to be quite a few phones with ir, lg, samsung, Sony Ericsson, nokia. It costs pennies to include an ir led. Glad xiaomi kept it alive. The others stopped along with swappable batteries and headphone jacks. I dont use it often, but when you cant find a remote and too tired to search its a great feature
