Hi guys. Ive been watching reviews and use 2 phones for a while now.
Both in daytime and night time xiaomi seems to lose. More of software problems i reckon. White balance is way too off. And ultrawide at night is just bad compared to vivo.
So i was wondering which one i should stick with.
Ive been researching but maybe you have your own opinions, does xiaomi wins in term of hardware? I mean 1 inch sensor is cool but what about zoom becuase ai personally think vivo wins the zoom too. Can this all be fixed by finetuning the software?
Maybe im mistaken on the zoom part but how can vivo be better zoom?
Honestly im quite confused since ive always preffered xiaomi
Depends! is your 15U global?
in terms of camera, I don’t use UW at all so I don’t care. main camera seems fine but little temperamental on xiaomi. and 100mm telephoto very similar to the x200u. BTW, xiaomi 70 mm lens is underrated in my opinion, i took some nice pictures with it. Also I don’t like taking pictures in very dark environment, so I try not to.
In any case, they both are similar hardware, proc, memory, etc. you just test the heck out of them and use what you like. I checked a lot of video comparisons, but in reality it should not matter much.
BTW I like xiaomi 2 color design. but like you probably will get x200U to check. X 15u global has far more 4g and 5g bands as well. so consider that too.
Not much that can be fixed really cause Xiaomi has a long way to go in the software department.
It’s one of those things where they really need Samsung’s camera software
Yes. I should think twice about bands in vivo… Maybe it will be deal breaker need to check it in.
But camerawise… Jeez. I am super uncomfortable when they are so close XD
Bring me back competition where you can tell the difference withiout putting 10 hours into it!!!
Simple answer. Both are awesome phones.
Few problems that Xiaomi has and limitations on Chinese version especially.
I would recommend Vivo X200 ultra over Xiaomi 15 Ultra due to those HARD LIMITATIONS that just cannot be overcome.
Unlocking Bootloader is one of the major Limitation for me because I have Xiaomi 15 Ultra Chinese version myself.
I cannot list all the problems here. If I get the time. I will post them on this Sub afterwards when I get home.
For me, I always choose the global ROM. If I am not mistaken the Vivo 200U is Chinese only. I chose Xiaomi. For my use cases the “differences” are really meaningless. I am also a long time Leica user, so I really prefer interacting with the GUI and the photography kit with the Xiaomi is my preference.
I think processing in Vivo is better.
I have the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. I am considering switching to the Vivo because of the battery life but I am worried about the problems of having an imported device.
But they simplified the hud in 15u no? Anyway yes.
Difference in some areas is negligible. But in some vivo is overtaking by hardware.
Overall balance and consistency right now is not xiaomi strong side and i fear software part will take long time to fix…
I will buy from the local importer so any claims can be addressed to him 😛
But yes. Imported CN version also puts some doubts in my mind. Accursed world.
I will probably waste another 10 hours on research before making that decision.
Where do you live and whats your importer?
Russia, Ozon marketplace (something like ebay+amazon? It also trades gooda from abroad directlt) . By laws marketplaces are tax agents so they write the check and the goods are their responsibility 😀
Lol how are you saying 15U is losing to 200U in terms of white balance? Don’t you see the 200U yellowish photo results both on the portrait mode and other modes?
Pick the Vivo 200 Ultra. Less QC concerns, and a more stable user experience.
Unfortunately i have been reviewing one more comparisson where photoes were taken from the same position and yes. White balance on xiaomi is override. It does not reflect natural picture that you would see unfortunately. It is also too contrastish and overexposing which makes it worse.
For now, xiaomi problem is 100% on software side. Vivo soft is better I have to admit. Here look at this full comparisson.
Only sometimes vivo made fatal mistakes. The only one i saw is with Ai and dark places. But xiaomi loses in the dark somehow o_O
I was going to take 15u but seeing the results i dont even know now.
If you think Vivo x200 U is better. Pick that phone as long as it has all the bands for Russia. Otherwise you might not get the best reception and usage as a phone. After all you are not just buying a camera but a smartphone.
For a second you scared me because last time i checked it was ok and i deicsed to double check i see it doesnt support some 5g. Then i remember we dont have 5g here and i calmed down Xdddd
