Whatsapp media stopped working after MIUI 12.0.1.0 updates

Today I got a notification to update my mobile to MIUI [12.0.1.0](https://12.0.1.0) in Redmi Note9 pro max. Approx 2+GB size. After updating, whatsapp media stop downloading. I am using the latest version of whatsapp from the google play store.

Error message:

Download Failed – The download was unable to complete. Please try again later.

Even my existing media are blurred and are getting played/open from whatsapp app but I can see all the media in gallery/file explorer.
