I bought some NFC 215 tags but I can’t read them with NFC Tools on my Poco M3 Pro 5G. I can’t write to them either. Also, I have an app that was supposed to be able to read my bus card which is some kind of Mifare, but I also can’t read it. However, I’m able to pay with my phone using Google Pay.

So I’m wondering if the tags and the card aren’t supported by my device? How do I know for sure?

Edit: I don’t know how to put it in precise words, but I’ve been thinking that maybe the kind of NFC support on my device is simply an “emulation”. I mean, I can use contactless payment with my device because it basically acts like an NFC tag when I turn NFC on. But the device can’t read nor write anything, much like a tag. It’s as if I had only half the functionality. Is this possible?
