Xiaomi redmi note 11

My phone’s digitizer just got broken and i was told to head to the closest service provider to change it as it’s still in warrant so they will change it for free but will they be able to change it immediately or will i have to leave the phone and fetch it later??
Also will any of my data be affected or will they only work on the screen ??
