Sim problem

Hi. I previously had a mi 10T pro. And after 18 months my phone SIM card didn’t show up and went to emergency calls only. I bought a new phone which is a redmi note 11 pro. And after exactly 18 months. The same thing has happened again. Do Xiaomi stop the phones from working like apple does
